Just learned that the company changed what is considered overtime on me so now the schedule I’ve been working for three years includes close to twenty hours of time and a half pay, while I’m trying to qualify for ADU. Whoops?

Computer is giving someone at work a hard time. Elderly customer is (good-naturedly) ribbing us, "Haven't you been taking computer classes since Kindergarten?" "Yeah," I say, "But it was on the Apple IIe!"

Just woke up from a dream that Elon Musk had developed a portable oxygen bubble that you could activate from your phone on a subscription model and on the day it launched the service drained the earth of all of its oxygen due to a programming fault, which led to only the people with the subscription being able to breathe and most others dying. Wrote every detail down because it’d make a great satirical disaster film. Back to sleep with me.

The dude from Master of Disguise is in my store right now pretending to be an Eastern European gambler who has no idea how to fill out a lottery card and is constantly getting something wrong no matter how many times the instructions are given to him.

I'm doing an anti-"No Shave November". Usually I shave myself every two weeks but this month I try to shave daily or every other day. My verdict so far: Daily shaving is not worth it as my beard grows so fast that I can feel the stubbles after an hour after the shave. Waxing my face is not an option.

@adiwan I find everyday shaving irritating to the skin
-
@scribus Yeah. Even with an electric razor it's not very feasible to shave every day because of skin irritation. Honestly I rather prefer not to have a beard at all and would want a permanent hair follicle removal but the risk of scarring my skin on the face is too high.

And I tried Nair, only to learn it just breaks hairs off at the surface and thus is just a chemical shave anyway

My D&D group starts planning the next campaign. Next campaign will be a dimension-hopping adventure combined with a TV-style Power-Ranger-eque plot structure whereas a multiversal evil is plotting something evil and our group works for an unquestionable force for good. We rotate the DM duty and I think that on my turn at the levels I will make an adventure in a dimension that is inhabited by unicorns and horses that is threatened by a centaur wizard.

Plus there’s the town priest, his kid brother sidekick, the FBI agent who blackmails the main character into doing crimes for him, the President of the United States, myself who may or may not still be a horse from that one thing, the main character’s dead father, her half-brother… basically everyone except the main character and the local bartender. Aiming to cut that down at least by half once I have the resources, either after a successful television pitch or funding by some other means (Kickstarter?)

That sounds flippant - obviously if I had the time, money, and resources to find the very best person for these roles I would, because voicing 80% of the male voices myself - shockingly! - leads to a cast of people that all sound the same. The south Asian guy is gay and I also voice his boyfriend (a Republican congressman, because I’m inclusive :)), which means I’m also grapeing myself kind of a lot. I voice the main character’s best friend, who the south Asian guy hates, so on top of Fluffle Puffing myself, I also have to hate myself. It’s truly the worst form of MPD.

Was thinking about who I could get to voice Jesus in Swole Foods and realized I don’t have one (1) Jewish friend. These are the drawbacks to not being based in New York or Los Angeles like everyone else in my field.

@zeldatra Jesus was a roman-era Hebrew, so he's pretty distanced from modern day Jews. He's also only half Hebrew since only his mother's lineage can be traced, so arguably you could cast anyone eurasian for the role and not be too far off mark.
-
@nerthos I’m not genuinely that invested in an accurate casting, I’m voicing a south Asian guy which I obviously am not, I just briefly thought it’d be funny to make my imaginary Jewish friend do it

"Those lazy, lazy leaves"! I was taking the scenic route from shopping through the park and there I slid in a corner and fell. I lost all tyre grip because a brown and slimy moist pile of leaves in the curve acted like it's the best replacement for grease in that moment. Luckily there was not much damage. My pants got dirty, a scratch on my knee, and the side of my pedal was heavily scratched.
