Fewer people means less noise. I'm pretty sensitive to noise while trying to work. Also, extra work to just "live" in urban places.

@bkuhn eh? I grew up in !NYC and have lived in suburbs, and overall life in suburbs is far less "easy" to me (despite some conveniences)

@fontana, it probably depends on what you're optimizing for. I optimize for a 12hr/day #Conservancy work schedule w/ minimal distractions

@bkuhn though it was in early 2000s, when I lived in #Chicago I was shocked at how much more expensive supermarket food was compared to NYC

Of course the main problem with #Chicago is that people generally do not wish to live in arctic-climate conditions.

@cwebber,by standard of 19th centurycities & 2013 developing world, !NYC is immaculate. Compared to living ease of USA suburbs,it's pitiful.
