  4. @caret7 Ah, my viewing experience with anime is actually pretty front-loaded. Most of the shows I've seen have been from the past 2 decades, but I am familiar with a few anime from the 80s and early 90s (off the top of my head some anime that I've really enjoyed from that period have been Angel's Egg, Akira, and a bunch of stuff by Studio Gainax and Studio Ghibli). There are definitely several shows from that period that I still need to get through though, but I'm not sure when I'll get around to them.

  6. @caret7 How old are we talking when we're talking old anime?

  7. @caret7 OH! GOSH! Yeah, I haven't been able to either, but from what I got, it just seems a bit more surreal. Mostly from the movement of people. Everything seems liek it's being puppeteered. Yet it is not... It crosses that gap a lot for me. But, I also like older anime sometimes. It just seems like teh medium had more mature titles that were popular. The modern style is nice, but it becomes to hard to find that seriousness. Less hyperbole.
Not to say it is bad.

  8. @caret7 Tired. Again. But I'm doing well. Was wondering what to do over the summer, and them my parents kind of said, "Let's go to Chicago."

About your colouring and Programming, I wish I knew enough to start a conversation about it. But, this leads to another question, do you any other hobbies?

  14. @caret7 that knowledge is useful because capitalism applies that. Everyone knows that things don't cost what they are /worth/, they always cost more than that because people will pay it and capitalists want to make profit. in a moneyless society, that will be irrelevant because everyone can have what they need. Although, people might give their friends more than what they need, and that wouldn't be a problem as long as others don't go without.

  15. @caret7 first you'd have to come up with a list of things that have historically worked, then you need to put that on a different list

  19. @caret7 Well I mean, "email" has ostensibly been around since the 1960s. When I say "the dawn of the internet", I'm speaking more along the lines of the explosion of internet culture that's arisen in the past 10-15 years.

  26. @caret7 Morrowind is still my favourite in the series, I felt it achieved its goals more fluently than any other game in the franchise. It's sort of this mediator between the heavy-handed density of the franchise's early entries and the more tightly constructed but accessible entries later in. It's a game that demands patience and engagement, as its world is condensed with enough detail to have an overt atmosphere but still characterized by enough quirks to not completely ostracize the player.

  29. @caret7 Then watch this one-shot cartoon https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KvXtRVifAXE Since you're living in the US the shipping costs might not break your money bank. The comic has some flaws but it's charming to read.
