  1. @nerthos That's pretty much Joshua Grahams plan too.

  4. @nerthos I'd keep it polite...to start with. I can't say I'd keep my temper when the armchair therapists and the "Depression doesn't real" brigade start talking though.

  5. I'd talk about Depression Quest here but I suspect I'm just asking for trouble if I do.

  6. Sometimes I forget not all boards are as familliar as this one and I end up sarcastically replying "Boku no Pico" to a "What anime should I watch" thread not realising they'll probably go and look it up

  7. It's funny how quickly the libertarian views of /r/bitcoin get thrown out the window when it's /their/ money that they're losing

  8. @snowlynx It actually only took me about 10 minutes to get the coin, as I bought it direct from someone. Selling in a hurry is complex outside of America because all the exchanges are geared up only to cash out to american bank accounts.

  9. @snowlynx I think the crash probably was something to do with MtGox being DDoSed and a lot of people who don't really understand money management or markets panicing and triggering a massive sell off. That said, there's no way that peak was sustainable.

Friday, 12-Apr-13 10:35:19 UTC from StatusNet Desktop in context
  10. @snowlynx I sold at $180 because I couldn't move the funds around in time to hit the original peak.

  12. @nerthos It's surprisingly different from the episodes that come after. Season 1 very rarely divided up the girls, even during character centric episodes, wheras season 2 and 3 quite often have some of the girls completely absent.

  16. “You have just wasted two precious minutes of my time, so I’m guessing you still don’t understand my position here. Let me be as plain as possible. I want a fast horse ready for hard riding today. For this I will pay quickly, in hard coin, and without complaint.” I held up my newly heavy purse in one hand and shook it, knowing he could tell the ring of true Cealdish silver inside. “If you sell me a horse that throws a shoe, or starts to limp, or spooks at shadows, I will miss a valuable opportunity. A quite unrecoverable opportunity. If that happens, I will not come back and demand a refund. I will not petition the constable. I will walk back to Imre this very night and set fire to your house. Then, when you run out the front door in your nightshirt and stockle-cap, I will kill you, cook you, and eat you. Right there on your lawn while all your neighbors watch.”

  17. So it turns out Patrick Rothfuss's "The Name of the Wind" is some very good fantasy writing. It almost feels like "classic" Raymond E Feist type fantasy, but with a modern twist.

  23. Eh. The MGR DLC is both not worth the price and a study in terrible enemy placement. If your "balance" for giving an enemy a move with hitstun is to force a cooldown period on it, perhaps don't pack the room with guys with that move.
