@clayinthecarpet Sounds like bananaty group. Those happen.

@clayinthecarpet And to listen to him talk,he sounds infinitely saner than Drooling Donny, Marco Roboto, and Governor Eggman.
-
@clayinthecarpet Yeah, one of the reasons they like it so much is because they're massive sailor moon geeks.

@clayinthecarpet If you're looking for something more along the lines of the Monogatari series you should check out Katanagatari, which is an unrelated series by the same writer that features many of his distinct compositional elements (most notably lengthy, character driven conversations that are equal parts playful and insightful) but is also much more focused and contained than his other work (for better or worse). It's twelve episodes in length, though each episode is 50 minutes in length (so it's roughly the length of your average two cour show).

@clayinthecarpet Want me to ask which is the best for a newbie viewer?
-
@clayinthecarpet Apparently how awful it is depends on which series you watch.
-
@clayinthecarpet I don't think it reaches the dramatic heights of either of those shows, but Concrete Revolutio (in spite having its own priorities) is pretty wild. That's arguably both one of its greatest strengths and setbacks, actually, it has so much to say but often times works for the space to articulate it. Thankfully its generally strong character writing elevates its drama to a point where it's still pretty much always engaging to watch in some capacity.

@clayinthecarpet Lucky you, I have two roommates that have lost their minds over Pretty Cure...
-
@clayinthecarpet It isn't the first time I've posted about the show here too, either http://rainbowdash.net/notice/4061972
-
@clayinthecarpet Usually, yeah. My written voice is generally just a more organized articulation of my spoken voice.
-
@clayinthecarpet It's Kikko Hoshino from Concrete Revolutio. Check it out, it's a neat little show from last fall that despite some structural blemishes here and there was an incredibly confident and energetic experience.
-
@clayinthecarpet I don't think I'd ever go out and buy one of their records or whatnot, but compositionally some of their early material was enjoyable balladry.
-
@clayinthecarpet Coldplay have reached a status where they're essentially hated on principle at this point, which is unfortunate considering that even though I'm not necessarily a fan of them I've enjoyed specific songs by them here and there.
-
@clayinthecarpet I think it helped a bit that I went in with reserved expectations.
-
@clayinthecarpet It was a decent action movie, but half the things that happened in there were ridiculous beyond measure.
-
@clayinthecarpet oh my god

@clayinthecarpet I worked together with a bunch of people to earn the rare and expensive Nova Prime warframe today. (For reference, that means I was able to successfully execute the grind required in an F2P game to actually earn a premium item). So I'm pretty pleased.
-
@clayinthecarpet I forgot how cathartic long bus rides are. I should make more excuses to visit my brother in the future.
-
@clayinthecarpet i know the feeling, but the last few days have been great
-
@clayinthecarpet it's been a chill day, played a few games with a frond, now I'm just talking w/ friends. not much, but it's been good
-

-
@clayinthecarpet It was really refreshing. Lots of open space to gaze at and some contemplative music in my headphones to listen to.

-
@clayinthecarpet I had a nice relaxing bus ride home from my brother's house this afternoon. That's good, I think.
-
@clayinthecarpet I'm pretty sure. . . ?
-
@clayinthecarpet aw, where's your sense of adventure? There's lots of fun to be had in badly-produced entertainment. Look at The Room even!
-
@clayinthecarpet I guess you have to be a big mecha fan (like me) to stay enraptured through the beginning
-
@clayinthecarpet but once it comes together being confused in the beginning is totally worth it because you go "ooooooh"
-
@clayinthecarpet see, that's the thing. It doesn't start to make sense til like at least episode 9
