I should probably post an update on Tumblr about the whole roommate stuff. Also I'm kind of debating whether I should let people send money on PayPal or something. I mean I don't really need it, but I guess it might be nice for people that really feel like they need to do /something/ to help me out. I don't know.
-
@neuraria Inform them that your situation is a lot less dire than it was before, but keep the PayPal button up.
-
@sprite I'm pretty sure that nobody has ever been prosecuted for internet begging.
-
@mrmattimation I don't have a button up. I'm wondering whether I should have something there for people who want to help in some way.
-
@sprite Would it help if I included something that said what the money would be used for?
-
@sprite 2/3rds of Tumblrs economy is comprised of people begging for money.
-
@ceruleanspark Who are you following to have those sorts of posts show up? I've never seen one of those at all
-
@ceruleanspark Oh, so I'm not the only one who gets cynical about that.
-
@scoot It's usually a reblog of a reblog tagged with the phrase "signal boost" 8000 times.
-
@ceruleanspark Yeah but I've never seen one of them
-
@ceruleanspark Sometimes it looks like "I'm bad at managing my money so give me money to handle my current problem."
-
@scribus I figure if you're having to beg for money to cover "unexpected expenses" multiple months in sequence, your problem is not your expenses.
