Oh wow. Angry bronies hate Flash Sentry for being a flat character who seems to only appear to be a love interest to Twilight. Now they know how swathes of women feel watching male-oriented blockbusters.

@thelastgherkin I mean regardless of gender representation in cinema, he is absolutely pointless in the context of the film. That being said I think his design is pretty cool, and the fact that he batcavees bronies off makes him a pretty good character in my book.

@mrmattimation The problem with that line of thought is that basically everyone but Twilight is useless because they live in a narrative that only exists to pose problems to Twilight Sparkle.

@ceruleanspark Yeah I suppose that's a way to look at it too. I don't care much anyway, on account of it's a cartoon for little girls and basically ANY character development at all is a blessing.
