  1. @nerthos Yeap. And it annoys me.

  2. @rarity Although the wrongness is debatable ( stabbed with a statue of a squirl means "stabbed with a statue" ... You're not going to say that if I kill you by thowing a sewer-pipe at your head and totally squished your body, I "sewered" you to death ) ... Just sort of annoys me

  3. @rarity The headline is totally misleading

  12. @mrmattimation Homeowner Association ? I reckon that is mostly an American invention. Down here when you wanna build something it has to "fit in" with the rest of the buildings according to city hall ( which can sometimes make awfull desisions IMHO ) ... However if you want to "allign picket fences" and all that stuff, well, noone ever does that. I live in one of the most cooperative neighbourhood where we do community BBQ's and halloween and arrange more stuff like that. But those are basically 5 guys coming together organizing stuff and asking whether someone wants to join pitching in on event X. At most picket fences are bought with neighbours and you see "conjoined" gardens, but nothing as strict as a Homeowner's Association as I see in American movies. ... Everyone is pretty much free to do as they please.

  13. @mrmattimation I never understood the reason "why" but I do know that every "old inner city" has low/zero uniformity in how they are build http://cultuurhistorie.venlo.nl/assets/Venlo_Binnenstad20algemeen_31.jpg ... it gives the whole town more of a homey feeling though methinks

  14. @mastertdi Its a faily easy question though. "Can you see yourself doing X for a job for at least 30 years ?" ... With bonusquestions like "How stress resilient are you" "do you have rich parents who can help you" "What would mommy say if I were to become a defense-attourney and had to defend the next O.J. Simpson versus being a used carsalesman versus pushing meth on the streets". The real "toughness" in the question is the "30 years+" part. Cus you do not know if you ever want kids right now, who knows what you think in 5 years.

  15. @mastertdi I hope you will find a way, you seem like a nice person. Protip: get a job in the field you care about. Pretty sure you can't cope if you are an IT nerd but have to maintain gardens for a living...

  16. @mastertdi Life is the fun part that demands payment, and work is the part that allows you to keep making those payments. I have no grudge against life I actually love life but the work component can be such a drudge...

  23. http://extra-nl-nl.forum.ibood.com/products/275-141111/wifi-travel-reader/ *tilts head* ... So it is like an apple exclusive WiFi NAS that can only utalize USB 2.0 storage and SD cards ? Will there actually be people in dire need of this ?

  24. My PSP has been sucessfully outfitted with a pony theme and a background picture befitting it's name. "Bork" http://pny.lv/6j8x ... time for me to go deep under cover, where it is warm and where I may rest. Goodnight, sleep well :D

Tuesday, 11-Nov-14 00:01:49 UTC from web in context
  26. @mushi I probably get the term "dry heat" just as much as you do "water cold" when describing the temperature outside. Well maybe you do, still it is a stupid saying and unless if you have been in either you have no idea what it feels like. I guess...

  27. @northernnarwhal I always wanted to go to canada, heck in one point in my life I even wanted to live there. I might still even, after I have done my research ( still, I can't right now, personal issues, family, some other issues ) ... Also what sort of stuff is http://pny.lv/6j7m you'd reckon ? I love those jackets, always room enough for my stuff when walking around on or off-duty

  28. @mushi Don't worry, if I ever come as close to visit anyone near the southern hemisphere and/or equator I want to lose enough body fat to not in the least resemble the fat American steriotype, heh *weak self-incriminatory laugh*

  30. @mushi 35°C ??? Wow, I think my eyeballs might dry out with that heat. ... I prefer a nice 20°C allround inside. Around 28°C I might start to throw "it's too hot" at a semi-regular basis. Then again I was walking around outside where it is 8°C ( on and about ) in nothing but my regular clothes ( which include a sleeveless jacket ). Whereas I figure you'd have the feeling to freeze to death.
