  1. Last night I could not sleep because of bullfroggs, I dreamt about forcefully shutting up the noize. This morning I almost sufficated myself in the fluff that came from a pillow that was shred to pieces... Hmm... Do you think those things are related ?

  3. Bullfroggs... Hundreds, if not thousands of them, keeping me awake. When they suddenly go silent. And then start all over again...Annoying creatures... At least they eat flies by the truckload, or I might think they are useless

  4. @tiffany that sounds like a logistical problem

  5. @adiwan Ohh, its a wild guess :) I actually had my sleep tested on multiple occasions. From what I remember you have 4 stages of sleep ( and the stage called awake ) ... Stage 1 light sleep, stage 2 light sleep, stage 1 REM ( deep sleep ) and stage 2 REM ( Deeper sleep ? ) ... I spend most of my time in Stage 2 light sleep and jump straight to stage 2 REM sleep very briefly around 2 - 8 minutes around 10 to 25 times. I am what they called "a freak"... Sadly, I have the same problems you have on a thuesday and friday. Luckily I can offset this by quite a lot by going to bed early ( which might have something to do with playing GPS games in my free time on mon- and thursday, so I am nice and tired and craving for bed around 22:00 )

  6. @adiwan How have you determined that your deep sleep phase is at a certain hour ?

Tuesday, 30-Jun-15 17:59:05 UTC from web in context
  7. @adiwan I wish you the best of luck with that whole ordeal, sadly, I am coping with something very simmilar. Although I guess that going to bed early enough so that I do not have to cope with any of it is somewhat of a sollution ( for me ) ... too bad I am too stubborn to do that.

  8. My room right now is WAY too hot. I could never fall asleep in this sweaty mess... I mean, I probably will in a few hours if I focus enough, but I could fall asleep in a swimming pool if you give me enough time... Also I think the swimming pool would be less wet

  9. Hmm, lets see, this here laptop ( http://www.notebookreview.com/notebookreview/dell-xps-m1710-review-pics-specs/ ) ... It does not always go on when asked, in fact, it does not even give me a BIOS load from time to time ( ranging anywhere from 0 to 50 seconds to start giving me the DELL BIOS splash screen ) ... I wonder I'm better off tossing it

  12. @adiwan Oh, ohkay :) I did some digging around because youtube keeps trying to force-feed me that the guy went on a mental spree of bad desisions. He made a bad desision aparently by openly attacking Apple Products as a bad choice in a video ( which is not bad per se, since I agree with it to a certain extent ) but the method in which he did it upset the internet to the point where he was DOXed and Apple Fanboi's harassed him at 03:00 ( That is, nearly the middle of the night, AM or PM, I can never tell, 24 hour clock FTW ) asking him about "Free TV" or something. Further perpetuating the whole ordeal of mental bad desisions. Appearently he appleed off a WHOLE lot of people by either not oblidging by contractual and vocal understandings... And I just think its kinda sad to see a big youtuber who makes his money&bread by being fat and spouting his opinion on youtube... Well... I think he's falling... Remind me to not try and get a Youtube career

  13. @adiwan Hmm, I guess that works. I have only done Video Cards though, for things below the price point of 20 Euro's, I usually just toss em if they are not worth the trouble. Besides, when there is a guck buildup so that your controller ( wiimote, dualshock, weird clip on thing for your phone with buttons , does not matter ), I really doubt that baking it will help with that specific issue. I could be wrong, am I ?

  14. @adiwan , say do you happen to be somewhat of a fan of RTU ? Or was that RTU youtube video I gave you a couple of hours ago ( about gamestop dumpster diving ) your first encounter with "Richie" ?

Sunday, 28-Jun-15 16:58:22 UTC from web in context
  15. @adiwan Ah, yea that makes sense. Also, you "can" repair a wiimote by brushing it, but that only "repairs"/"fixes" contact-errors... Like when enough guck acclimates beneath the pressure-contacts of the buttons.

Sunday, 28-Jun-15 16:51:29 UTC from web in context
  16. @adiwan I actually had to look at https://youtu.be/et3yYdkMa1Q?t=150 to see what's inside of a wiimote... and hell-no, I am NOT touching that... Except maybe with the same method as in that video since I am not even halfway capable to read PCB's ... And that Alcohol on used toothbrush thing might actually work... or you can toss it.

  17. @adiwan "I can splice this, good thing I've got electrical engineering" ... ... I do not have electrical engineering and I know how to do "basic" things, I am not even sure if you have an electrical engineering background and I am sure you could do it 1 handed and/or blindfolded

  18. @adiwan Its really cringeworthy on my side aswell, but please note that that's in America. In America its actually feasable for retailers to get a new copy of things if they absolutely&permanently dispose of the original hardware/software-disk ... And yes I am sure that people like you and me would have a field day with a screwdriver and a soldering iron and enough shelfspace to actually put 2 dead humpty dumpties into 1 whole.

  19. @adiwan Oh, and gamestores usually have bananaty loot anyway. I somewhat hint at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C6ipDPkcgqY for obvious reasons ( and it's a good video )

  20. @adiwan Boskalis ( nearby ) usually has usefull ( old ) ship components, mice, keyboards, sometimes a laptop. There are some appartment blocks where I frequent as goto-IT-guy, where I usually can find some neat things. And there used to be an IT-shop where I struck a deal to recycle the parts properly. Although in all honesty, I only got good karma and tons of PC screws from that gig

  21. @adiwan *actually looks around* ... 2 servers are blocking the exit to my shower ( luckily I have 2 ), boxes everywhere, EVERYWHERE, I should really check on what I want to keep, and what I want to throw away. I "just" dumpsterdove ( ? ) myself a seemingly working set of band-hero drums... some cables look like they have been mauled by an angry wolverine ( but I could repair that ) ... I just found out that its the Playstation version, I do not have a playstation ... Should I just toss it ? ... I think I am sorta turning into a hoarder... I could just take it with me to Campzone and donate it to people who can use it... Or I can toss it and work my way to using the 2nd door on my shower again... Hmmm, choices... Good call on the XboX 360 though, the insides look like a bend PCB...

Sunday, 28-Jun-15 12:10:20 UTC from web in context
  22. @adiwan I'm actually kinda jealous, all I found past 6 months are a complete Gen1 XboX360 thingie, without games ( but with a controller ) and red ring of death for about 3 Euro. I am not sure if I should toss the XboX, or attempt to repair it, did I mention that Gen1 XboX 360's do not even have HDMI out ? ... Also I helped a friend clean his house, as a reward he dumped 4 servers on me, and 2 laptops, I have yet to check the servers, but the laptops are seriously in "gotta-whack to boot" condition... It kinda speaks to my inner nerd...

  23. @mushi Does Brazil even have the capabilities to make all of the components ? I mean, if there is heavy tax on importing chips either now or somewhere in the future, there might be "problems"

  24. @awlyra A dystopia (from the Greek δυσ- and τόπος, alternatively, cacotopia, kakotopia, or simply anti-utopia) is an imaginary community or society that is undesirable or frightening. It is literally translated as "not-good place", an antonym of utopia. Thank you google :) You're gonna like Oni then, at least till it gets repetative. I myself must say that I rather like games with somehow a dystopian-like storyline, bonuspoints for future stuff. After all, if someone is doing well, someone or something must dislike the perdicament they are in in one form or another, that's pretty much an unwritten rule to however people can fathom civilization

  25. @awlyra I have yet to start on the Arkham/batman series. But I somehow really think you should try this game https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oni_%28video_game%29 . And yes this was the last thing to come out of Bungee before Halo ( I finished the game :) I guess that means I am hardcore ? )

  26. @mushi I would love to say that you missed out on some awesome Mario things, but I can not. In fact, there are only grey-line Mario games that are awesome IMHO. I mean, there is a Mario kart game for ( almost ? ) all the Nintendo hardware in existence that was made after the SNES. And Mario Strikers would have been awesome even without the Nintentoons. ... Are you a Nintendo gamer/fan even anymore at this point ? Last time I heard something about Brazil and Nintendo it was something along the lines of a trade embargo because Brazilian import laws are beyond Battletoads levels of fair

  27. Oh, this is a fun one XD. I've been wanting to play Mario Strikers on the Wii ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mario_Strikers_Charged ) for a while now, since its the only soccer game I kinda tolerate. So I finally found someone, the same person who is pretty much anti HD because "it only makes those PCMR people into entitled biggots" ( < his litteral words ) ... And he did nothing but kiwi at the resolution XD... Although in hindsight, I probably should not have hooked it up to a beamer ( 150 Inch playing field )

  28. @scriba Thats, kinda like saying that "presents" don't taste like "happy" ... Which of course they do ... Although because Prozac has the nasty ability to change the way you percieve taste, it's probably only a matter of time before "presents" tastes like "vanilla ice cream" or something
