Ok, here's what I've gotten from all of this, and please, PLEASE correct me if I'm in any way mistaken; most of you seem to be arguing under the basis that the set of filter regexes is set in stone and inflexible. If this is not the case, I apologize for assuming. If it is, though, hear me out just this once. I'm not going to claim to speak for widget, but if you guys have any suggestions to make the wordfiilter better-suited for site use, send them our way and we'll consider them. I'm not saying it'll happen, but it's worth a shot. But we're going to have one hell of a hard time listening if your complains are peppered with "the moderation team cares more about reducing complaints than actually moderating", and other such things. I apologize for lashing out, and... hell, I'm gonna go... do... something else, I guess.

PROPOSAL: Since it's become clear that the staff cares more about reducing complaints than about actually moderating things, I have for you a compromise solution that should generate the least amount of complaining: keep the word filter, but apply it only to those users who have already been warned about their language but kept using said language anyway. This will eliminate complaints about posts being deleted for language, and it will drastically cut down on the number of complaints about the existence of a word filter if it's used only in a disciplinary fashion. You may still get complaints from the users it is applied to, but the overall quantity of complaints related to the issue of language moderation should be the least with this method as compared to the other two methods.

So last night I had a dream that "my boss" (actually, like, Robert Patrick or some junk) was trying to rape a female co-worker of mine (at a job I've never had). I walked into the office, and then "my boss" was trying to be all, "Hey lady, I can't sex with you, we're boss/worker and stuff" to play it off. Then I walked up, put him in a full-nelson, and told the lady, "Have at it." So she started punching the crap out of rapist-boss-man while I held him still. As much as I hate sleeping, I sure do love dreaming.

@nixter The thing with me is that currently there is nothing I actually enjoy doing. So the motivation to actually do anything isn't there which is pretty awful. Almost no point in living but, at the same time, I can have fun sometimes so I don't want to be dead. I'm just neutral towards everything, I suppose.
