  1. @tiff Classical back ( spine ) hernia ?

If it comes back time and time again, I am going to guess it is a classical spinal involving L5 ( above or below ) ? I can only wish you the best of luck in recovery and managing the pain. Got some sort of pain-relief from the doc ?

  2. @mrmattimation Wait, I am not allowed to criticize things I deem worthy of... Well lets be honest here, I just rant usually.

You are judgeing me for that ?

  3. @scribus Yes but those mooks are going to say "I smashed capitalism, I smashed it good" not "I paid $8.99 to smash capitalism"

I do not think you should make it too obvious on that front.

Imagine what would happen if happen if Delaphine went "Buy my filthy bathwater and secure your place in loserdom" as a sales pitch. I mean, we are all thinking it, but it was not the sales pitch.

  4. TIL : Facebook has an algorithm at work so it knows when you poop.

Now I would really like to have that just so I could plan movies around my bowel movements using science rather than just my gut feeling.

    Still whoops Paramount's attempt though.

    But within the same breath

    "Buy our merch !"

Raises eyebrow, Twitter is full of dumbdumbs.

  11. @nerthos You know, I agree with you. But you should probably go watch the video. Heck go with the straight up reply video of this guy https://youtu.be/KngleLumR_U .

I guess the biggest problem is that EC thinks that we should stop to normalize the Nazi's. Those being ACTUAL Nazi's and their ideology, by being extremely patronising to the point of nausea in Multiplayer Games.

Also to tinker with the matchmaking system to do the opposite of rewarding Nazi's. Which is just a system so insane that the moment you write it down you realize that you punish ALL players because your game has Nazi's in them.

Also it was stated that because 'safeguards are being eroded', you might not go off of a website like stormfront because you do not mind playing as Hanz Mit Der Flammenwerfer in some game.

But the birth of a meme, the absolute beginning. "There you are, playing a game, and all of a sudden bam you're a Nazi, you did not ask for this" is golden. I mean, you did buy the game.

Thursday, 04-Jul-19 23:24:32 UTC from web in context
  12. Hmm, Well, Extra Credits did it again. This time they tried to jam the idea of "Nazi's are bad people !" into their talk about video games so hard that they are now about receiving 20 thumbs down for every 6 thumbs up.

Meanwhile, yeah I agree with the general message behind what they are saying. We must stop trying to normalize the idealisms of Nazi's. However to blame Video Gamers is Jack Thompson levels of insane to me, especially if you see how the arguements are formed.

Heck I am sure that the fact that there is a president in the U.S.A. who is being called a Nazi like clockwork is doing harm to 'normalize the Nazi's' than a game called "The life of Erwin Rommel, the VR experience"

No use looking that up either, I just had to think of a stupid game title and I had a brain fart about Fennec Foxes earlier...

  14. @thismightbeauser Doesn't matter. There is shock and awe. Does not matter if they even raise concerns you agree with or not. I am just annoyed that it makes a large enough stink that I hear the screeching harpies on both sides of the arguement and it makes me sigh.

"Please just let me enjoy my Pizza without both Gordon Ramsay and Massimiliano Alajmo screaming at me about the existance of Pineapple." is what I am essentially saying.

  15. Just imagine me typing and hating on everything in the episode while trying to steer clear of major spoilers ( or at least anything I think people give more than a rodent's buttocks about ), then ultimately sighing deeply and saying that I'm going back to do some more "mega-loathe-soldering". Which is just like normal soldering except I am doing it out of frustration and it clears my mind, such a purgative excercise. Like meditating, only at the end you get to have something to show for it.

  16. Oh for the love of eating solid food... Which is really a thing everyone takes for granted and I am pretty sure Bronn would be able to tell you everything about if he actually breaks his jaw in the books. I digress.

Just saw S8E5 of GoT. There is SO MUCH wrong with this episodes I can not begin to explain. Though if I had to begin somewhere willy-nilly I guess I would say that Sandor ( The Hound ) and Gregor ( The Mountain ) 'finally' fight. I do say 'finally' because that is just what I wanted (( SARCASM )). So in the fight Gregor slowly takes off armor by one means or the other untill Sandor is finally smart enough to stab him in the eyesocket, at which point the one who is stabbed just pulls it out.

So Sandor just jumps at Gregor in a full on tackle hug scenario and breaks through the remainder of the tower wall and fall to their doom.

Then in the "Making of the episode" they talk about how Sandor overcame his fear of fire to kill a bigger foe.

How far did you think they fell ?

  17. What I would like to know is how in the world I lost a LED belonging to a DIY kit. Perhaps more importantly, just what do I need to know in order to place a LED in a circuit ? If I look at the diagram/scematic of the thing it seems to pretty much jam a LED and a 10K resistor straight between DC12-18 and what I can assume is ground. But who am I kidding, I have no idea how to read this.

  20. @thismightbeauser Dito. Though with the added effect of also becoming mindful of the path I walk in life. Together with the realization that the world is changing around me as I am changing. Are things changing for the better ? Arguably so, both yes and no.

With the world in a constant state of flux that it is. Do you really think my weirness stands out or is noticed at all ? Yesterday I found out that my weirdness was eclypsed by child drag for as far as people's shock and awe goes. I mean I was litterally talking about buying and assembling a 3D printer so I could print ponies when someone went on a tangent about 'this shocking development, how could parrents allow their child to do this, bad taste, rabble rabble'.

  22. In the past few days I watched S8E3 and S8E4 of Game of Thrones. To say that I am agitated would be downplaying it.

No spoiler version would be : Logic is thrown out the window to make cool scenes. Consistency of powers and weaknesses are all over the place, Bran uses his superpowers of watching past present and future to browse designs of wheelchairs, Characters get to do AMAZING feats when the camera is not directed at them directly, you see way too many things die to things you can not see, you also see way to many things not die to things you can see and then randomly dissapear just so the audience will scream out the name of their favorite character to see them absolutely fine in the next shot, characters acting stupid for no reason, characters betraying the previous 7 seasons by means of storytelling. But perhaps the biggest 2... granting every tactician an anyeurism thanks to excessive facepalming... and do not even get me started on Resident Evil goes Game of Thrones. #

  25. TIL you can make a snake vomit up his or her prey by applying hand-sanitizer. Which I guess is only really useful for when a snake eats its own tail. Or when a really big one eats my leg and then find out "Well this was a really good idea until I realized that there are 4 legs and a torso to deal with as well"

  26. "It's like some company sells you a bomb to test your house against earthquakes" - ( https://youtu.be/y_bbX_Ch1Z8 )

You know what I would rather have seen ? This guy showing us cheap ways to implement a cheap protection or tester against these things. I mean the "USB Killer Tester" pretty much looks like a SMD Keramic Condensator and 2 wires that come out of it ( see 1:45 of this vid and https://youtu.be/MW1mk68YdJM )

Nothing against this YouTuber but I imagine that a lot of children watch his stuff. I mean, remember when Linus Tech Tips talked about this too ?

... Well in the very least I now have more reasons to X-ray USB devices. Unless if that is somehow bad for their data.
