     @tiff @scribus thanks, admittedly I don’t 100% know what’s going to happen, it’s a friend I know through work and I found out about it through an announcement that was made to the management team about it. I don’t know how serious it is, if it’s treatable, etc. etc. Maybe I’m overreacting. Maybe this ends up being nothing after a round of chemo and a surgery. I hope that’s the case but I know almost nothing about it and I’m supposed to be pretend everything’s normal.

     @mrmattimation i don't think there's any one (or really any at all) appropriate emotional response to something like that. even if the odds are favourable it puts the transience of those you care about into harrowing perspective

    I made a whole entire cartoon tonight, nothing fancy, just a thirty second thing, but it really took me back to the days when I relied on Squigglevision animation techniques to make the characters look more dynamic. It was faster to do, obviously, because they didn’t move around as much. I could probably do a few minutes in a week with this kinda art style. Makes me want to develop some new characters to throw into this style, so I can pump out some content more regularly in between my “real” animations.
