  2. @kamikaze Free beer is also cool, but I don't want the beer to control me and I want to be able to share it with my friends.

  3. @kamikaze Even the show staff doesn't know what exactly happened in the past. How should we know this? They come up with stories that somehow fit in there.

  6. @kamikaze The blame falls squarely with the developers, not the platform they are developing for.

  7. @kamikaze Not all consoles are to blame some are trying to be inovative!

  8. @kamikaze no. Before you defend your ground with terminal intensity, I said "genre." FPS, RTS, MMO... these things that are endlessly praised are downright boring to me.

  9. @kamikaze PC showcases all the genres I dislike. Bam.

  10. @kamikaze ah that makes good sense. Originally the US was established by the people so the the norm here used to be to see the government as trustworthy. Patriots, including myself, still believe our government is inherently good, but over the last century our higher officials have become corrupted. Obama and soon his judges will be the icing on the cake. Now I put my faith in state government more than federal which is sad since state government is far more easily controlled by factions of extremists than the federal government as seen in California.

  11. @kamikaze xD I can sort of see the lack of transparency thing being a problem, but if the government is truly trustworthy then shouldn't it be concerned with the free exchange of information?

  16. @kamikaze what you just said seems like a reason to increase surveillance.. Are you saying you like the new laws? That's cool if you do. I'm just confused. What are the new laws exactly?

  19. @kamikaze Are there any reasons for limiting surveillance that aren't popular with just criminals and conspiracy theorists? Note: I'm paranoid and don't want surveillance so I count myself as a quazi-conspiracy theorist. Validate me?

  20. @omni @kamikaze xP I'm a GUI type of guy. Not ashamed, though it does make me feel out of place among techies.

  23. @kamikaze Yup. There's no point in risking a wound. That doesn't change the fact that you can survive far more easily than against a guy with a gun, since the knife has a really limited range.

  24. @kamikaze In an unarmed scenario, I'll avoid the guy until I can locate something to kill him with.

  25. @kamikaze If someone enters my house with a knife, I put a sword in his chest. It's a matter of range of the weapon. My dai-katana is 1.20m long, I can pierce the guy before he's close enough to harm me. I can also use a spear.

  26. @kamikaze Not really. Ubuntu makes me shiver a bit as well, albeit less than Windows does. Terminal dumps are a lot more useful in general, though.
