  1. A Pole, a Soviet, an American, an Englishman and a Canadian were lost in a forest in the dead of winter. As they were sitting around a fire, they noticed a pack of wolves eyeing them hungrily. The Englishman volunteered to sacrifice himself for the rest of the party. He walked out into the night. The American, not wanting to be outdone by an Englishman, offered to be the next victim. The wolves eagerly accepted his offer, and devoured him, too. The Soviet, believing himself to be better than any American, turned to the Pole and says, "Well, comrade, I shall volunteer to give my life to save a fellow socialist." He leaves the shelter and goes out to be killed by the wolf pack. At this point, the Pole opened his jacket and pulls out a machine gun. He takes aim in the general direction of the wolf pack and in a few seconds has killed them all. The Canadian asked the Pole, "Why didn't you do that before the others went out to be killed? The Po

I guess I just (to make comment cos hey if the conversation is still going on, one twas involved) I find it hard to really get. Tis deliberately trying to wind people up, as far as I'm aware, so my mind kinda struggles to think on that being fair.

That said, in truth I have probably quite a simple black and white mindset of good and bad, sometimes. (And other times a twisted one, such is the mind of a broken woman)

    Every single one of us.

Doesn't mean people should be discarded/tossed aside/ostracised entirely.

    That's mastodon thinking, tis.

  5. The @sim Manifesto:

Our current system of government and society has fallen from greatness. Great British civilization is not the bastion of Western freedom and progress that it once was. Therefore it is imperative that we restore the old three pillars of our Golden Era traditions: feudalism, absolute monarchy, and censorship. The modern industrial world has failed us, so we should return to the system of landed gentry and serfs that supported our greatest period in history. This is feudalism. Disobedience and disrespect toward the Crown has shown that the current system of limited constitutional monarchy is hazardous and fragile. Thus, absolute monarchy is a necessity. Dangerous ideas such as women's rights, democracy, and freedom of information are eroding at the foundation of our society, and must be suppressed. This is censorship. Together we shall prevail. Together, we shall make Medievalism great again!

  15. Yes, you can have a fine and go to jail for that. France's legal system is in a horrible state beyond repair. We have no freedom except to STFU and pay. The whole system is being stirred by enormous (((entities))) and they always abuse it. For example the SACEM (witch collects a fine on non-free music to redistribute to ""artists"" and his a private entity) has the right to claim money on your establishment because they passed a law that says that if any music is played in public even if it's copyleft or CC0 you have to pay a fine on it. They even added a tax on EVERY storage support (Usb key,SD cards, HDD, even internal storage that you can't remove for example in GPS device) because they assume that you are guilty in advance of piracy. The government of France is manipulated by corporations, there is no true election, there is no freespeech, there is no ethical journalism, their is no democracy, only the promise of a storm. For a freespeech ex
