@loveydoe i just grow weary of people who think they shouldnt have to pay for stuff. So they try to redefine words in order to support their argument. Taling something that doesnt belong to you is theft, even if there are infinite of the item in question: the ol victimless crime argument's been disprpven several times. You cant change meanings of words just to win legal or legislative battles. Not understandimg the damage piracy causes is not an excuse to call it victimless. If you have a job, your boss should make you work without pay. Youre technically not losing amy physical items, but you'll sure feel like youre losing out. If you can agree that time and money are thinfs that can be lost, maybe then you'll understand why it is a conceoted notion to justify unlawful copying. Stealing on the promise of supporting the victim later is also silly: "hey i'll rob that bamk, but im a customer so it's okay"

Essentially every new season's gonna start out like "gee, i have this new title/friend/responsibility/whatwver was earned in previous season finale, but i am conveniently ignorant of all social contracts that normal people would presume or know from having left their house on occassion. What am I supposed to do with this new title/friendship/responsibility?" "Uh oh, a new villain/malignant plot device threatens peace, and my manner in defeating said villain/malignant plot device teaches me the socio-cultural implications of my new title/friendship/responsibility. @princelypublictimeline based on the evidence provided by the series, the premise is not faulty. Sweetie Belle gets mad and gets revenge on her sister, dreams about the consequences. Scootaloo is traumatised by creepypasta, dreams she's in a creepypasta. Significant events or decisions in ponies waking lives actively influence their dreams.

@cinnamonswirl but we're not sure that's a pattern due to them/their world, or just air-tight writing. Remember in shows/movies/comics that dreams are never meaningless and writers who use dreams always justify them in the narrative. Since we dont have enogh info to distinguish which of these is true, we need to start re-examining the validity of either the premise or claim

@mylittletrixie Considering Discord is at least equal in power, if not superior, to Luna, and his chaotic nature, Luna might be unable/unwilling to look into his dreams. Or he can simply not dream.

@mylittletrixie Discords dreams probably /are/ opaque to her (Or at least particularly dangerous), and in the case of Chrysalis and Tirek, they pulled surprise attacks, so Luna wouldn't have been able to "keep an eye on them" because she didn't suspect anything.

Ive been slowly dying because i work with someone who believes that a) everything including rocks has or is governed by spirits, b) that vaccines cause autism (psst they dont), c) something something big pharma conspiracy, and d) a bunch of spoonfed bull about organic food and gmo's. So Ive been miserable with the amount of confirmation bias and ignorance ive had to put up with. Oh yeah and he's into metaphysics and backhanded compliments

@northernnarwhal i actually yelled at him one day to stop telling his stepdaughter about the vaccine stuff (she has aspergers) because she's smart enough to know better but she just kind of goes along with whatever he says because of his rhetoric. I was like "you need to stop telling her it's one way when you dont even have all the facts, you dont even know what it's like being in her shoes so I think she deserves a peace of mind that comes from the truth and not your idea of how the world works." Then i added "oh and stop telling your friends that god puts the mentally handicapped on earth to test normal people, she wouldnt appreciate hearing that and neither do i because im not here to serve your headcanon"
