  1. @nvrrmbr It was just a data disc, it should be able to read easy it peasy, but whatever. I have that disc for archival purposes, not to play on my 360.

  2. @madflavors Tell her to shove off! Friends talk about videogames and movies, not existential life problems. Tell her to get a new boyfriend if she wants someone to lean on. Also shove a satchel of C4 up her snatch, for good measure.

  3. @nvrrmbr I just used the software that came packaged with Windows.

  4. @elind85 Yeah, I used to play in a jazz piano trio, but we've since disbanded. I'd like to get back into it, but I need to re-buy a bass first.

  5. @elind85 If I met a chick that dug bluegrass or jazz I would be all over that mangoes, but god damn. They always listen to bands like My Chemical Romance, Lady Gaga, AFi, Fallout Boy, Billy Talent, bleh! Or they just spam the Glee soundtracks, that was not a relationship where I liked being in cars with her.

  6. @greydragon412 I burned some MP4s to a DVD and tried to play that on my 360, it didn't take, but MP4s on a thumb drive seem to work.

  7. One of these days I'm going to be into a chick who doesn't listen to awful music. Don't know what it is with me, but the chicks I dig always listen to the most trite music that's out there.

  8. @greydragon412 If it's an AVI you can network your 360 with your computer and just stream it. However, from my experience, getting my 360 to communicate with my network is not a fun experience. Putting the files on a thumb drive, and plugging them into the 360's USB port is a much easier solution.

  9. I've never drawn outside of classes in school. This evening, I've started drawing ponies. This show, it does weird things to ya. I need to get really drunk and watch it, that sound likes a fun experiment.

  11. @zach121k Yeah, I clicked through all of them. Derpy's and Twilights were the best, I liked the 'DJing for Ponies' book in Twilights video.

  12. @zach121k Yeah, don't think it's 'not in you', sketching and painting are learned skills, just like anything else. While some things do come easier to some people than others, most of that is the drive to do it, thus their learning is accelerated. You can only get better at things by doing them.

  15. @kingpopadopalus Eff'in eh! AJ is my favourite, too. She wasn't to start, Fluttershy was, but lately I've gravitated toward AJ.

  16. @broniebrown I can't even get to Ponibooru! It give me an 'Internal Error', dunno what's up with that. Only happens in Opera, but works in Chrome. Weirdness.

  17. @kingpopadopalus I've already looked into buying replacement hair and a rerooting kit! It is something that's going to happen. This weekend also begin the hunt for an appropriate looking hat for AJ.

  19. @starshine @atticus If you're just looking to write on virutal sheet music, Sibelius will make you're life a lot easier. It's pretty intuitive. This e-book is dirt cheap and will get you using it in about as much time as it promises; http://www.amazon.com/Learn-Sibelius-Hour-ebook/dp/B004GKMZ12

  20. @atticus If you're looking to go the free route, MuseScore is an open source scoring program, but I've had much better luck with Sibelius.

  21. @atticus Oh, find a copy of Sibelius. Google it, it's awesome.

  23. @leonkfox If you were born on like, October 7th, people in the states will read your ID as 7/10/90, think you were born on July 10th, and sell you booze.

  24. My mood this evening is best summarized as DOMOFACE. In good news I developed a roll of film today. Was really stoked with how this portrait came out; http://doctormowinckel.com/pictures/photomragraphones/portrait.png Definitely something I'm going to add to my portfolio. Had a roll of colour film developed today, too. Scanned in the negatives, had this picture of my Totoro on there; http://doctormowinckel.com/pictures/photomragraphones/totoro_is_awesome.png I really like my Totoro. He's very photogenic. How is everyone else doing this evening?

  27. So my friends Todd and Claire are pals, Todd lives near DC, Claire doesn't. Claire is a hecka history buff, so she's swinging through DC to scope out all the stuff history geeks will dig. Since Claire is trying to cut down on travel costs, she's going to crash at Todd's place. Todd digs Claire, and Claire is newly single. I was talking to Todd tonight, and he said he thinks he has a shot with her, while Claire has told me the opposite. Should I like, intervene? Should I be all 'Hey, Claire, you might want to reconsider your stay with Todd', or is this dole just not any of my business, and don't tell either of them anything?

  28. @zach121k It's some sort of Finn-speak. The Finnish language originated from the sounds ancient Scandinavians made while eating rocks. Their tongue doesn't make sense to anyone, except the Danish, but the Danish can only make sense of it because their language makes even less sense than Finnish.

  29. @fluttershyismywaifu The characters are very endearing and well developed, more so than they are in most shows. Dexter, while it is one of my favourite shows, has only fleshed out two of thier characters (Dex and Deb) to the extent that the creators of FiM have. Think about your favourite shows, and run a mental dialogue in your head with the characters, what do they say to each other? It's so much easier to do that exercise with the characters in FiM than it is with the characters in most other TV shows. So, basically, character development. That's why I like it.
