  1. Hmm. I am discovering why one shouldn't take apart camera lenses with very little notion of how they work. It was a cheap-o lens that needed to be fixed. So far, I am unable to mend it.

  5. @onca D200 is a HECK of a camera, definitely a good buy. One of these days I'm going to start shooting digital, when I do, I'd definitely consider something like that.

  6. @onca Minolta X-370 that came with a Rokkor 35mm 1.8 and some rubbish 200mm lens. The body doesn't work, which is upsetting, but the lens is money. Then, today, I saw a Minolta X-700 with a Rokkor 1.7 50mm and a Kenko 2MX Telepus. $45 for the lot. That price made up for the broken X-370. I'm really peeved about that broken 370. I paid street value for that lens PLUS the body, the body being broken means I got ripped off. Though this X-700 is in great shape, and it's one of the older ones. The Kenko is worth some cash, too, so that makes up for it, a bit.

  10. !Ohiobronies If any of you cats live near the Dayton Mall and don't have a ride, holla at me, I can squeeze three more people into my Volvo. Mind you, it smells like a gym 'cause I keep my hockey bag in the trunk and I don't change out of my gym clothes to drive home. There's also no radio, and I'm a very aggressive driver. Other than that, y'know. Let me know if you need a ride.

  16. Who d'ya all reckon is the eldest of the Mane Six? I was pondering this today, and couldn't come up with an answer. They all seem like they could be younger (12, 13 in hooman years) and mature for their age (AJ, especially), or a bit older (16-18) and still holding onto their youth.

  18. @fluttershyismywaifu That chick (Susan Calloway) has one hell of a voice. I'd love to record someone like her. When I hear someone that good, I think 'Holy kiwi, I need to get moving so I can record people like her'. It's music like this that makes me do what I do.

  21. @1greg1 Might be some funky overtones in what you're listening. An overtone is a harmonic related to the fundamental frequency. We can't hear all the overtones, since our hearing caps off at like 18k for the average adult, but a cats hearing goes up to to about 65k. If what you're listening to has some stringed instruments that might be creating overtones, that might be what kitty's hearing. And that's not the answer you were looking for, but there it is anyway.

If I want boot up Race 07 and take an F1 car on Circuit De La Sarthe without chicanes, that's awesome. More content in racing games is always good.

  28. @madflavors I recently told this chick I dig that I do in fact dig her, it didn't go over well, then she continues to lean on me like I'm her boyfriend. I told her 'Dude, seriously, the gravy train of me being your go-to guy are gone. If you want to talk about how lame Thor was, right on. But this bananas ain't gonna fly'. She doesn't have a lot of friends on whom to lean, but whatever. I have to be concerned with my own well being first, I can't be responsible for hers at the cost of mine. Sounds selfish, but you have to look out for yourself first.
