What have I gotten myself into this time? (Also, late Happy Birthday or something, RDN. You survived longer than I ever expected you would. Good job.
-
You know, soup is basically just a salad underwater.
-
@scribus I dunno. What about people working with older version software because of their budget? Maybe keeping version numbers and creation dates highlighted near the start of the guide could keep it more relevant.

I never understood the concept of 'faith in humanity' until I lost it. As a grouped identity, I am not fond of mankind.

@nerthos (Provided they have the money and the proximity/transport to lend it.) But yeah, I wrote it down. Thanks. :D
-
@techdisk42 I wrote down those options. :D
-
@techdisk42 Nope. Hypothetical situation has no lawn mowers at all.
-
@nerthos BRILLIANT!
-
@techdisk42 Well, it's an option. Thanks. :3
-
@nerthos @ceruleanspark Good ideas! I'm going to write these down. I hope you don't mind.
-
@pawnheart Hypothetically, someone needs to travel 60 miles within an hour to two hours. Overall distance necessary is 240 miles. Known budget is $9 USD. A car is owned, but can not make the trip in <$40.
-
@nerthos That's a good option! Thanks. :3
-
@redenchilada Okay. Thanks for the info.
-
(By transport, I mean gas money. On a related question, if there's a way to get around for cheaper than using a personal car, how does one do this? )
-
Hypothetically speaking, what should one do if they run out of money for transport to get more money?
-
Yeah, that pic was my fault and I accept blame for it. :V Please don't assume it represents the interest of all people touting a label.

@rolandtheheadlessthompsongunner Sounds pretty positive, then. :D Glad to hear it!
-
@rolandtheheadlessthompsongunner Woooow that's a lot of multiposts. XD How weird.
-
@scribus I hope it went well. :3

@ceruleanspark Continuity nods are fun. x3
-
@scribus *Hugs* Either way, we've still got another season to go. Maybe that'll be something cool? But seriously it's time to reprioritize.
-
@ceruleanspark I'll look more into the idea of flanderization later today. But I do often find myself rewatching more Season 1 for my feelgoods than I do of Season 2. (Though, just for pretty pictures without the storystuffs, Season 2 does some really neat things.)
-
So if I'm finding I need to dig for the exceptional good in fanart, and dig for the exceptional fun in the official work, why should I keep drowning myself in pony daily? I think I've developed some unhealthy habits now, in any case. And I'm going to change. Even if I don't know what yet.
-
In particular, as a pony roleplayer, a lot of the more direct references to injury (It's About Time), alcohol (Sweet and Elite), and Death (Hearts And Hooves, Secret of My Excess) is a convenient lead in for a lot of themes I was using ponies to escape from in the first place. But I can't do anything against these topics in RP now, it's canon for the ponyverse! Sooner rather than later, I'll probably drop ponyRP. || However, it influences general fanart as well. There was already some skew towards exploring darker themes and saucier themes in fanart, as the motivation for it was often ,"What if...?" Or "If this weren't limited by the rating, this would happen!" That's fine, but with more canon elements being darker, fanwork gets even heavier and more violent still, as if to comphensate. Now, I often find myself unwilling to try a new artist's comic, or to view the new fan animation, or to read the new fanfic. After all, the last 5 were unhappy/violent. Why would this one be different?
-
There are things I like about the show, and things I don't like about the show. Season one has some technical errors (Most of which I can't even see until someone else points it out.) and arguably didn't get to develop characters as much as they did in Season 2. Depth is nice, but I found almost all of the lessened emphasis on personal flaws and ponies being jerks to be part of a nicer, friendlier world I enjoyed escaping into. It was light, kind, and really only ever made glancing references to darker sides of life (Often buried in pretense of song). Season 2 has made character flaws that were only barely hinted at in Season 1 entire foci of multiple episodes. Pinkie's been disconnected before, but never seemed to be intentionally making others miserable or being more ignorant of the feelings of others than a brick wall ( Luna Eclipsed) and Twilight was more a socially awkward snarker than a pony trapped in logic loops (Lesson Zero, It's About Time). I'm not sure I want these ponies.

ToyWiz Facebook Poll: Apparently ToyWiz has a new poll up asking which series has the best fans! Pony is holding it's own but we could certainly be doing better. There is also an incentive for winning the poll with the prize being a sale on the winning product line as well as a giveaway! So go vote and rejoice with pony merchandise after the victory! Sally forth! You can find the poll . >http://www.equestriadaily.com/2012/03/toywiz-facebook-poll.html http://ur1.ca/8tef0

@thelastgherkin I am totally subscribing to the tail as erogenous zone thing now.
