  1. OK but seriously, I always did kind of think it would be cool to be a tree. Or Swamp Thing, best of both... well, SOME of both worlds.

  2. @oracle Conspiracies were so much more fun in middle school, when it was the Alien's cloaking tech keeping Bigfoot and Nessie safe, and Mothman tried to warn us of infrastructure failures...

  3. @adiwan All the while, they hope it's good enough to pass for "customer service," but bad enough to save them the fiver.

  5. @adiwan Ah, yeah, it's not a year-round snow, here. Maybe further north, yeah, but then the surf becomes a different story, lol.

  6. @adiwan Eh, it's California. It's a local gag that you can surf in the morning, and ski in the afternoon. Or vice-versa.

  7. In fact, we just had our first local snow, a couple thousand feet up

  8. @adiwan I've got a mountain about an hour away, so snow isn't like completely strange - I have used chains, and I do know of what we call "snow tires." Just never rose beyond "knowing about" to "thinking about." I feel like our snow tires might be "studded" or something, I rode in a car with them once and it had a distinct noise and vibration to it. Nothing bad, just obviously different.

  9. @adiwan Right. Mission accomplished, and hooray for road safety. (Meanwhile, I have never had to change tires for any reason other than baldness or flatness; maybe hand-rotated them, once?)

  10. @adiwan O_O Times like that, you might want to double-check that it's even supposed to come off, lol

  19. @adiwan I suspect his talk about "being so embarrassed that he leaves the country" was code for "finding somewhere without extradition to the US to die in penury," but maybe that was just wishful thinking.

  20. @adiwan Well, of course today we'd announce results, just to make ME look foolish in the wake of my "Cassandra" gag! Rage rage rage, bad Trump impression, no lulz, I don't care IT'S OVER!!

  21. Almost gotta respect how many times CNN can publish "BREAKING: We Still Don't Know!" like being told on Wednesday that it could take until Friday or longer didn't already inform us of things like "We don't know yet, and it will take time to count."

  22. OK but now I kind of just want a pic of Biden as the Don and a "Biden Crime Family" tag in that Godfather font, maybe that can rule dorm walls for decades to come

  24. @adiwan Well, it's less that I'm claiming to be 100% correct about events that have yet to pass, and more a satirical statement in reflection on the fact that people are surprised that Donald Trump is doing exactly what he said he'd do four years ago. Like, if it's that widely shocking when an asshole, who said he would be an asshole, is an asshole, then clearly "having seen it coming" MUST be among some kind of ~SpEcIaL pOwErS~ or whatever.
