  1. @scribus Blender is crazy easy to learn and there’s a lotta tutorials on YouTube, I’d give it a shot. The latest version has a real-time render engine too and most of its features are compatible with the other, slower, raytraced engine so if you have a halfway decent graphics card you can test materials and lighting situations and such fairly quickly.

  2. @scribus I was playing Captain Toad Treasure Tracker (on WiiU) and just as I threw the last huge turnip at the crow and hit I slipped off the platform and died during the hit animation. It was quite frustrating and nerve-wracking as I had only one life left. During the whole gameplay I was not picking much money for lifes and was often time reckless and had not many lives.

  3. @scribus Chaotic wacky. The whole situation goes out of control crazy. In Regular Show the main characters put up chairs in the park and then next the world is spiraling down a path to total world destruction wacky.

  7. @scribus Sort of sad that it happened but it's good that those riot idiots face consequences one way or another.

  9. @scribus This is nothing. There was an old ruined police horse school (presumably) in my city ever since I can remember. Two years ago work began building homes there. This place was abandoned for over 50 years I think.

  10. @scribus The fanservice was the least of my problems with it. The plot is so convoluted it hurts my intelligence. Sentient alien thread accelerates the evolution of humans so they can wear clothes, Then the thread is used to make super-powered magic clothes. Then the bad guys use the thread in normal clothing to enslave/transform humanity while the good guys have also thread on their bodies. Then the master plan is to engulf the earth with the magic thread so to make it pop and burst more thread into the universe. And then the whole school thing and trying to conquer other schools is also the dumbest thing in the series. Where is the military? Where are state officials? It's certainly concerning when there are huge military-grade fights all over the country without any consequences. My suspension of disbelief can handle only a limited amount of BS before it turns against the piece of fiction.

  11. @scribus Oh. I'm not afraid of the barber scenes. I'm afraid of the rest.

  12. @scribus I was too small to remember but my parents said that it was sold soon very soon as it was mostly incompatible with the C64 software library.

  13. @scribus True story: I grew up pretty much entirely on PlayStation 2 and Xbox 360, so when I finally got a PC that could properly handle video games I was immediately put off by the keyboard controls and plugged in an Xbox One controller instead. To this day it's really hard for me to play shooters the "real" way.

  16. @scribus And I bought all the parts for repairing my rear window wipers. The car has a completely full tank. Luckily there aren`t any expensive or personal objects in there. I have contacted my insurance and I was at the police. I hope I get a good cash out for the car to buy a new used one.

  17. @scribus That was only an expression of dark humor. Obviously I don`t want that but 2020 is trying to catch up with me.

  18. @scribus You can try Irish Road Bowling or also known in other regions as Klootshießen, Klootsheeten, (Straßen-)Boßeln, or Boccetta su Strada. Make the world your bowling alley!

  21. @scribus Locally here I'd try visiting some artistic craft stores but I guess it'd be of limited success. But they are closed anyway.

  22. @scribus Seal wax is quite the niche product. Maybe there is an online seller. Amazon Germany has a selection of different colors and amounts.

  23. @scribus Three answers: The first is that The Simpsons didn't switch to digital animation until the mid-2000s, so there's always about fifteen years of that to go through (and Disney not-withstanding (they've been doing digital since The Rescuers Down Under in 1990), the rest of the industry was also pretty late on that train), the second is that a 22-minute program averages around ten thousand unique drawings (more than that if it's a Simpsons, less than that if it's a Flintstones or Jetsons) so there's a LOT to go through, and the third is, and you didn't hear this from me, a lot of those animation cels you see on eBay are actually reproductions or pieces of promotional artwork which have been created expressly to be sold, so they quite literally will be able to send you Itchy's arm for decades.

  24. @scribus Yeah. A lot of US citizens are very bad about geography (I've heard) so it'll make it quite easy.

  26. @scribus Haha. It's not often that it hails at my place. But every time my father tells me to drive the car under a bridge because he fears of hail damage. And I tell him that when it starts to hail heavily it's already too late.

  27. @scribus Coincidentally it snowed here too but the snow remained and left a 1cm thick layer on my car. And today I had to use the car. Luckily it was already starting to melt so removing it was quick. I'd like to see how you react when 3mm diameter hail falls down from the sky.

  28. @scribus It's also not fun being almost a victim of being run over. I can count about a dozen of events when I or the driver weren't paying attention. 3 were last year from suffering neighbour-induced insomnia.

  29. @scribus Due to the lack of projects that I want to make, and a lack of projects in general that involves my interests and expertise, I had to take this to keep me billable to clients. I shudder to the thought as well but it pays even when I get no call.
