  1. @scribus It's fun for sure. Also the rest will not be far from your current experience. However the visuals get a bit less janky animated and learned how to work with the limitations.

  4. @scribus talking about specifically YouTube stuff. One of the new Eddsworld showrunners just got outed as a serial groomer/abuser and it’s frustrating the hell out of me that there seems to be a new one of these every week.

  5. @scribus To answer the question I just got via email, the server is a basic digitalocean droplet. The $20 one. Depending on how much traffic you're expecting, you could easily run a couple of instances on there.

  6. @scribus A few days ago it was sunnily warm, then it got grey like late autumn, and now it's snowing while daffodils my mother got are growing at an insane pace and opened their flowers today. The whole damn calendar is put into a blender.

  8. @scribus I’m just fed up with the new management. These guys are total pricks. One’s a delegatory blowhard who wants me to do most of his job, and the other one is a crazy apple who acts like a crackhead.

  9. @scribus LPL was one of the better ones. Yeah... the puns were groanworthy, but at least he has shown a nice set of locks, and thus in line with his regular content. The briefness is also welcome, although it's somewhat longer than the usual stuff.

  11. @scribus I was also watching random episodes when it was running on TV but it didn't grab my attention enough to keep watching. Maybe it was a bad time slot or the German dub.

  12. @scribus I’m always afraid I’ve done something to anger him, because on top of the fact that he’s like always glaring at me, one of the effects of his, uh, condition is that his fuse is shorter than the average bear’s. I always feel like he’s one misstep away from going apebanana on somebody

  13. @scribus I think it's cheaper to buy a real mouse and not bother trying to replicate the skeleton in order to see if a pose is even possible. Yeah... It'd bite back but still cheaper time-wise and financially. I don't think pet shops allow anybody willy-nilly to grab a mouse and contort it.

  14. @scribus What are your specifications? Do you need any mouse skeleton? Do you need to hold only one pose? Do you only need an approximation of the skeleton with a fur (artificial) over it? Has it to be life size or can it be bigger?
If it can be (much) bigger and the look isn't that important you can 3d print a skeleton, drill through the bones and use armature wire to hold it together and for some posability. It is just tedious to make.

  15. @scribus This guy carved a jointed skeleton out of wood. I encourage you to look elsewhere in his gallery for more pictures http://rainbowdash.net/url/875862

  16. @scribus the California split movement confuses the hell out of me, because you got Los Angeles/San Diego in the south, San Francisco/Sacramento in the north, and a loooootta Biden counties in between... you would need to create a really weirdly shaped state to change any kind of electoral momentum over there. http://rainbowdash.net/url/875860

  17. @scribus I calculate a cost of a thing in comics for a longer time. Like: Do I buy a new crate with my favorite drink or buy 4 comics instead?

  18. @scribus OK. That's an inflation problem. A new car costs now less than it did back then. A modern car has in addition a computer, entertainment system, navigation, explosives (air bags), automatic driving assistants (break, lane control, distance, parking). Although a house usually keeps its value or increases it over time.

  19. @scribus This is why I always enjoyed the mostly-unscripted nature of the later Fallouts & Elder Scrolls. New Vegas particularly introduces you to a major antagonist (or ally, if you choose to go that route...) fairly early on, while you’re on your way to a story quest, and you can just let him do his thing, or, if you have the firepower, you can just FrankerZin shoot him and he won’t appear again for the rest of the game. (And then you can shoot his replacement later, too!)

  21. @scribus And then again, Madoka rebooting the universe is, in itself, a rebuke of heat-death, and thus even defeating Kyubey served its purpose!

  26. @scribus I thought the iPad was a Fluffle Puffing lame-ass joke when I was a kid and it was first coming out, it just seemed like a big iPhone, and it seemed even less necessary after iPhones started getting bigger, but now I feel like this is what they should have been marketed for all along.

  27. @scribus honestly kinda surprised how natural it all feels, I don’t like the program I drew that image in but that’s ok because the full desktop version of my usual art program, Clip Studio, apparently works with the newer iPads so I went ahead and installed that, it’s pretty much perfect and I think it’ll make me a whole lot more productive. IMO for what I paid it’s actually a better purchase than an equivalently priced MacBook.
