#totw Which pony /should/ take over? Twilight is the only pony who would rightly belong in Celestia's place. Celestia herself will train her and hand over the reigns before ascending into whatever it is alicorns ascend into. Luna may follow her or she may remain to serve as an advisor for a limited time. If Twilight isn't ageless like her mentor she may train up a successor, but I like to think that she'd foresee how easily corrupted a monarchy is across generations so she may instead institute a system of higher and lower judges to take her place with checks and balances on power. Having briefly studied the government system of the human society which she visited at Equestria High, Princess Twilight will one day return to the alternate dimension and seek out additional information. With a more complete understanding of such a system and it's weaknesses as well as other human government alternatives, she'll improve upon the system and implement the resultant plan.

Turning her back to face her know downed friend, Twilight, a smile grew upon her muzzle. "But just so you'll never forget me...." In that Instant Rainbow soared into the sky, and the Princess watched her with curiosity."But just so you'll never forget me....?" What did this mean. But as she saw Rainbow Dash's spinning and maneuvering in the sky, she got her answer. Rainbow Dash had collected all the storm clouds in the sky for the scheduled rain to fall later that day. When she had constructed an enormous stratus roughly the siz of the whole town, she flew high into the air and with a mighty clap of thunder

#totw Rainbow dash uses her speed and agility to take out fluttershy and rarity and she uses her strength and fighting skills to fend off Applejack. Twilight catches her using her magic but she starts flying in place very rapidly. As her speed increases, Twilight begins to struggle to hold her in place. Glancing upwards at her from her efforts. She sees the rose eyes of her friend. With a simple look she knew it was over. Twilight's magic gave out, and just as rainboe dash had escaped her hold, the explosion came. A shockwave engrossed in the vibrant colors flooding over everything in its path, that sprung from the pegasus, and hen the dust cleared rainbow's eyes opened up and the enormous skid through the dirt made by Twilight met her vision. "Rainbow Dash!" The cyan pegasus heard perking up her ears. The turned around to see the scowling gaze of the princess herself. ".......Your Highness..." She managed to speak through her exhausted and muttering lips. "How Could You?!"

#totw Ditzy Doo had a unique way of looking at things. Many would see her job delivering parcels as mere inexperienced labour. She, on the other hoof, considered it an unrivalled method of networking. Whenever a letter or parcel was sent to anyone influential, it was Ditzy who volunteered to deliver it. After all, a feather makes a decent letter opener, and if they did notice the damage to the letter, who would possibly suspect her. Many would call her mad for trying to overthrow Celestia. She disagreed. Ditzy considered herself, if nothing else, practical. She, if no-one else, knew the power of words in Equestria. The right words in the right ears can create fear, panic... or revolution. Ditzy knew that Celestia needed to be replaced. She believed this without a shadow of a doubt. After all, in a land where a pony's name determines their destiny, what kind of ruler would have allowed her parents to name her Ditzy Doo.

#totw I think that they would do the same thing as shown in the Thinking With Portals mixture with MLP. Other than that.... I think Rarity would use it to do less effort on catching up with her friends... i dunno..

#totw Twilight will dissect the equipment to figure out how it works. Pinkie will just cause an infinite loop. Applejack will use it to transport apples easier. Fluttershy will have no use for the portal gun and the boots. Rainbow Dash will think she is too cool for such things, but in truth she will use the gun for pranks. Rarity will refuse to use it since it is tacky.

#totw obviously pinkie pie is going to shoot one portal gun at the ceiling and one at the floor and jump in, fluttershy is going to watch pinkie pie in the corner scared to death, twilight sparkle is going to study what trajectory and angle of the holes are best to get the best jump, rainbow dash will shoot one portal at a cloud and one at the gound and try to hit a triple rainboom making it so she wont go into another dimension but then what will happen?, applejack will use hers to transport apples and such for her farm, and rarity will use it to lug diamonds and such from place to place

#totw Okay, boring answer. @holyhoudini notes that Twilight wouldn't have much use over it, except for preserving momentum. She could potentially find the mechanics for staying in flight if she had a jump start

#totw Rainbow Dash learns to make a sonic boom while she sleeps. Rarity becomes super organized as now every and all material is within hooves reach ( abeit through a portal ), Applejack no longer bucks apples, but uses 2 portals on the ground as a trampoline to pick apples. Twilight Sparkle finds the portal gun fun to use but ultimately not life-altering in any way. Pinkie Pie is now searching for ways to break the 11th wall with her portal gun. and Fluttershy lost her portal gun in the mail, rumors has it that Angel "liberated" it and is now building his own space station in a Dr Evil esque way... I think it is time we get an Austin Powers looking pony in Ponyville
