So I open up a pack of Starburst I got in the mail, excited to have some good candy noms. I open up the box, pull out the little plastic bag and check my bounty: Out of around 30 Starburst I have 15-16 pink and 3-4 of every other flavor. Maybe it's a sign...?

I can't figure out where in this fandom to go to ask questions that aren't immediately shouted down by randomness. How do brony meetups work? I want to meet bronies. I want to organize a meetup. But the only things I hear anywhere are just "To the moon!" and "lol derpy".

@zachariastargazer Al Gore invented the Internet. CERN is the Apache that created the first web server, but web servers were pretty lame before AOL put Firefox, the Netscape Navigator in everyone's snail mail inbox.

@fnordly AOL was the China of the early internet though. I never liked them. Admittedly, I was born during their heyday, so I don't have much perspective.

@fnordly This brings me to my original point. Before the September that never ended (1993), we still had boredom and different games to play. Back then, Zelda was a two-player head-to-head shoot-em-up, and joysticks were made for more manly hands, and Twitter was just a channel on the Undernet, and Facebook was decentralized and distributed over hundreds of different types of mud.

@musicssound AOL and Windows and Al Gore are three sides of the same coin. Haters love to hate on them, but we couldn't have done it (2012) without them. Though the old j/k about Gore creating the internet is almost unfunny, I was amazed to find some write-ups by some of the programmers that could be more appropriately accredited as the inventors that made it all happen. They said that Al was the One that was petitioning the powers that be to put the money and legislation in place so that we can play with these ideas which ended up being the Internet that we use, today.

To add to my already bad mood, I now hear that David Cameron is planning to block social networks because they may have been used to organise the riots. Because, you know, that'll totally stop people that are keen and eager to riot from organising them when the chance arises. People rioted long before social networks came along for christ's sake, the man has absolutley no mangoesing clue what he's on about, but that should come as no surprise. Plus, a lot of clean up operations were organised through them, and he convienently forgot about that >_>

@leonkfox In fairness, the Labour government desperately wanted this stuff in place to fight the terrorisms. They just didn't have anything sufficiently shocking happen when they were in power to force it through.

@tenure I've found two potential spots both in the Florida State Park system, which means the entry fee is $6.00 per multi-occupancy vehicle (2-8 people) and $4.00 for single occupancy. One is closer to Tampa, Hillsborough River State Park (http://floridastateparks.org/hillsboroughriver/default.cfm) and the other is closer to Orlando, Wekiwa Springs (http://floridastateparks.org/wekiwasprings/).
