  1. @zeldatra I'm also inflicted with the same life question. I'm suffering for any new RGG game while contemplating if other things in life can fill out the void but never can. You can play Ishin. If you're adventurous you may play Kenzan (the other that plays in old Japan) or Kurohyou 1 and 2 (the PSP games).

  3. @zeldatra It's a school for school delinquents. It's part of their curriculum to not attend school.

  8. @zeldatra If I were in the US I'd be called a filthy communist. I'm all for universal healthcare. In Germany you can opt-out and be privately health-insured. I'm against that as rich people dodge paying into the general health care fund, making the poorer pay more. I'm also for free public transport (bus, tram, trains) as they are a key part for poorer people to participate in society and make it easier for them to get or maintain a job (also environmental benefits). I think most of the political landscape would burn me like a witch, except is a giant BBQ with a US flag paint job.

  10. @zeldatra I guess if a rising tide lifts all boats then a crashing wave could do little different

  12. @zeldatra I got landline phone numbers with my Internet contract and once in a while I receive calls from random people thinking it belongs to a garage shop. It happens only a couple times a year.

  13. @zeldatra I'm playing with the Japanese audio. I don't know how good the English voice cast is but I'm very much used to listening to the Japanese voices. On the other hand the English of some characters is the epitome of bad. I cringe extremely hard hearing Bryce speaking English. If I were the director I'd rather have a voice-alike for the English. Maybe it was out of budget or time but it undermines his character in my opinion.

  14. @zeldatra Nanba's voice was always scratchy and throaty as far as I can remember. Chucking booze, spitting flames, and being homeless twice(!) isn't helping either.

  15. @zeldatra Ichiban has an infectious personality.

  16. @zeldatra You are right. It was really odd that they were both very good buddies from his perspective. I would guess that Ichiban got his name from Songhee or Joon-gi (the Geomijul in general) and he probably meant with "everything Kiryu did for me" was just the little bit of Kiryu helping his cause in 7.

  20. @zeldatra I'm in chapter 5. Language is very loosey-goosey handled beyond in every aspect of the game. At this point I just accept that they have some kind of universal translator that occasionally malfunctions. There is also the possibility that Kiryu translates everything but for he sake of drama and brevity it is not shown. In Yakuza 3 those English books from the scam must have some effect.

  21. @zeldatra I got the basic version. I have never played NG+ and the information about all the additional content of the Deluxe and Ultimate editions were greatly lacking.

  23. @zeldatra You'll going to have a good time. The cast and the story is great. The substories are as wacky as usual.

  24. @zeldatra Makes sense that it is based on 5, as I found out that quite a few characters were in the original Japanese version. In the Unreal Engine remaster they were replaced by from 7. It's strange but I get it that Zhao is more popular than Baba.
