  2. @bitshift I'm not suggesting that Progressive Enhancement isn't the correct way to approach development, but I guess if you are already in production, pushing for a rewrite to improve the experience for a small number of end users is a tough row to hoe.

  3. @bitshift I think non JS browsers are considered edge cases, with the exception of when you're optimising for crawlers.

  4. @bitshift I'd rather just not see a message at all and be taken to the non-js version.

  5. @bitshift How could you find use for it? No, seriously, I wonder what use other than entertainment it has.

  6. @ceruleanspark @omni @bitshift It's the fact that it's required that bothered me, not the fact that it's present at all. I'm perfectly alright with enabling it for them, I just don't like it when sites present me with a "this site requires javascript" page.

  7. @bitshift No for real. It's in one of the "Special Ops" side missions. You invade Air Force 1 as a team of russian terrorists and kidnap the president, who, fortunately for you, is not Harrison Ford this time.

  8. @bitshift Nothing beats COD:MW3's prompt of "Press X to Kidnap the President"

  14. @bitshift I dunno, the way the current government is leaning they're probably eyeing you up as a cheap source of combustible fuel/harvestable organs.

  22. !mspa the only way that @bitshift can remain an admin is if he canges his real name on the site to "Buttshift" forever.

  26. @bitshift To some extent they did their research- every one of these characters are the ones Lauren originally intended to use in FiM instead of the mane 6 we know today (Applejack was the only one she was able to keep). On the other hand, you have Glory farting a rainbow and sailing off into the sky.

  28. @bitshift Most JPOP is like this too. If you actually look up what the lyrics are, most of it's really terrible. But if you can't understand them it's pretty great to listen to ☺

  30. @bitshift Rammstein was only appealing to me before I could understand it well too. Now I can understand it, I can clearly see how filled with bad innuendos their lyrics are which, as you can probably understand with my constant complaining about it, bothers me a lot.
