@bitshift Synclient worked, not sure if it'll persist beyond a reboot. The first two or three fixes I found involved files I don't even have, the whole thing was just a colossal headache and it really, really should be made easy! I mean, it seems like such a basic option, Linux-philes are always lamenting the "Oh noes we only have like 1% of the user base" and then, what do they do!? OUTRIGHT REFUSE TO DEVELOP USER-FRIENDLY INTERFACES!! I mean, sure, I can handle some CLI, I even like it at times, but . . . it's . . . I mean. . . . AUGH!! D:<

@bitshift Why did the eraser-tip die out? I liked it so much more than touchpads early on.
-
@bitshift Absolutely NOTHING beats a regular mouse though
-
@bitshift EXACTLY!!!
-
@bitshift ...I MUST SEE THIS. *plunges in head-first*
-
@bitshift Yeah, well, mine's gonna be a propietary Windows-only plugin that's only available for Firefox 3 or lower and places tons of obnoxious ads on every other website you visit.
-
@bitshift BRB, I'm going to make a website that's only usable through an external browser plugin that a user downloads and installs on their computer.
-
@bitshift Hence is why I rather build my application on top of a framework like Ruby on Rails or Django that gives you the wheels, frame & engine and allows you to build the body and interior. While something like statusnet gives you a finished car you pretty much can only repaint and put fancy decals on.

-
@bitshift Personally I build all my applications from scratch being able to meet the exact needs of my users without bloating the codebase.
-
@bitshift Yeah, that would be more accurate.
-
@bitshift oK

@bitshift I think he wants to make a greasemonkey script
