@clayinthecarpet Gelato? What? You think you're better than me!?
-
@clayinthecarpet A painting I did a little while back in art. Never uploaded. Sorry for the poor quality, it's too big to put on the scanner, so I had to use my phone camera. http://rainbowdash.net/attachment/819281

@clayinthecarpet Working on a self portrait in art. This is a rough draft and is meant to end up a painting resembling Da Vinici's Self portrait after he had cut his ear off. http://rainbowdash.net/attachment/819278

@clayinthecarpet Thanks for reminding me I need to scan my painting from art and junk. Be right back!
-
@clayinthecarpet Oh my god, what? Haha
-
@clayinthecarpet I'm doing pretty good. mean I haven't touched anything art related outside of school in a long time, but good in every other aspect. You?
-
@clayinthecarpet @metaltao HEY!
-
@clayinthecarpet I stopped expecting greetings of my birthday since I was ten. I'm pretty sure it is already happening to me.
-
@clayinthecarpet I can feel it. But yes, I'm still in the premature stages of ignoring the existence of time.
-
@clayinthecarpet I feel it's also worth noting that no human emotion necessarily makes good art, if we're going by a very general and agreeable idea of what "good art" is anyway (since going into detail about that is an entirely separate conversation).
-
@clayinthecarpet That's fair, I mean it's your interpretation so it would obnoxious of me to say you're "wrong" or anything like that. Those are merely my intentions and the inspiration behind the work. I'm not an experienced painter or anything, though I know of many academic works which define art as not just a byproduct but a process and behaviour as well, so perhaps the mere act of painting is more contextually important than the painting itself in this scenario. I could go on about primary colours and how those relate to denotative instincts but in all honesty the colour choice was because they were just old paints I found in the basement earlier today. The piece itself wasn't planned, the improvisational nature of it was necessary so as it to prevent it from feeling contrived.
-
@clayinthecarpet Yeah, the application of the paint was incredibly sporadic as well as forceful so I feel that's personally symbolic for stress.
-
@clayinthecarpet Stressed, mostly. Lots of feelings of pressure from family, friends, school, work, personal addictions, etc.
-
@clayinthecarpet I was just making a joke but alright thx
-
@clayinthecarpet Mainly Pepsi
-
@clayinthecarpet Or maybe it'll be more like "guys Rick Astley is dead [source]" and no one will think it's legit
-
@clayinthecarpet It was delicious the first bite, horrible the second.
-
@clayinthecarpet This steakhouse place we went to had roast beef sandwiches that you dipped in caramel and even for me that's pretty surreal (not exactly good, but surreal)
-
@clayinthecarpet Shush FarCry. No one wants your Camels.
-
@clayinthecarpet I'm not as into caramel as I used to be. But you guys have salted caramel which is cherrying amazing
