  1. Most of us have computers that can emulate any console game that came out before the PS2 and XBox generation, and play any PC game that came out before 2004, yet almost all of us (myself included), will sit in front of our monitors, and think 'Huh. I don't have any games I feel like playing'.

    1. @engelhardt Pff, I can emulate Wii games... kind of. Casual.

      1. @redenchilada I can emulate PS2 games, and they look soooooooooooooo good at 1600x900. FFXII at 1600x900, I pull 60FPS on my machine; http://doctormowinckel.com/pictures/never_look_this_good_on_ps2.png

        1. @engelhardt I've been meaning to try PS2 emulation. Would be easier than replacing my broken console.

          1. @redenchilada You need a hell of a computer. I have a 2.5GHZ quad core, 8GBs of RAM, and 1GB of VRAM, and at times it will chug, PS2 emulators are intense. And tough to get working right, but for me that's part of the fun. I enjoy taking something doesn't want to work, and bending it to my whims.

            1. @engelhardt I've got 4GB and a 2.1gHz tri-core, will that work? I'm used to turning settings down anyway.

              1. @redenchilada I really doubt it, doesn't mean you can't try. Snag a copy of PCSX2 (google it), you can load PS2 games straight from your computers DVD drive.

    3. @abigpony Terrible reviews? What? No.

    4. @abigpony I don't see the point of keeping consoles around if I can emulate the games, especially when I can use a SNES to USB adapter, save anywhere, and play online (or do local MP) using the PC version. I'm also an expunger. Some people hoard, I expunge. Owning things sucks, all crap does is get in the way. The second I can emulate a console, I get rid of it, and all my games.

    5. @abigpony We must read different magazines. Why don't you go get one so you can homebrew it and emulate lots of gaems?

    6. @abigpony >Implying you'd be friends with anyone who DID own a Wii.

    7. @abigpony I can't see how you can dislike the Wii. It doesn't DO anything. At all.

      1. @ceruleanspark Funfact: the Wii was my only current-gen console for years and I loved it.

          1. @ceruleanspark A rather large stack of games I have for it.

              1. @ceruleanspark I'm too lazy to check right now. Mostly Brawl, MKWii, NiGHTS, Kirby, Warioware, and Samba de Amigo. And VC games, those are always fun.
