                    @derps Replaced the fan, replaced the ram, and maybe the processor, not sure, it was 2 years ago.

                      @miloth well, i'm trying to get an os to download into an 18 gb hard drive (the only one it is able to recognize), which constantly flicker in and out, making it hard to download.

                                                        @derps Is your computer a laptop or a desktop? Are you looking for an external (usb hard-drive) or internal (you put it into the tower, and hook it up to your motherboard) and do you know if your motherboard supports sata or pata cables?

                                                @derps Ubuntu will work under 2gigs, but its recommended you have at least 80. Get a 160GB drive.
