  1. @colfax @pinhooves @everypony LOL, see for yourself - I'm done, whatever. If the mod is going to halt us for 'causing drama' - without any mention of the sexism that caused it - then I'm out. People are too stupid to live. :( http://www.ponychan.net/chan/merch/res/39465.html

    1. @jimbo People still go to that site... I left ages ago when the drama really started.

      1. @mrdragon I'm starting to realize why I used to never post, either. There's just so. much. stupid.

        1. @jimbo That there is.

    2. @jimbo @mrdragon I've never really used it... maybe I should be glad of that.

    3. @jimbo I hope they fall down the stairs! ; )

      1. @everypony I'd be willing to help push! :D

    4. @jimbo Well, you won't find that here so don't worry.

      1. @mrdragon You guys all seem very nice. :) Yesterday I got into an argument on here that eventually derailed into "Are you fat? you sound fat. But that's okay, because I am a fat fetishist!" LOL I wish I were kidding. I think the stupid people must just flock to me! ;)

        1. @jimbo ...what the?! Who... hmm... well, I hope it is not a frequent occurrence for you on here.

          1. @pawnheart Me too! It's sad, I'm usually not even on RDN that much, so I came on, and it's like, IMMEDIATELY, I'm told I sound fat and that fat people are lazy but it's okay because it's sexy, or something. So strange.

            1. @jimbo Sounds like a troll. I don't know why ponies do it. I really did (and still do) hold out hope that this fandom represented a move beyond that kind of creepy, alienating kind of thing.

Friday, 23-Sep-11 07:26:40 UTC from web
              1. @pawnheart I am pretty naive though!

              2. @pawnheart Ehh, I think sometimes people just assume that alienating = not alienating to people like THEM. So straight people may say things that make gay people feel uncomfortable, and ditto for men and women. Sometimes it's not conscious, or even purposefully upsetting, but they can get very defensive when called out on it. I mean, NO one likes getting called out, but otherwise nothing gets changed, you know?

                1. @jimbo You're right. I've said things I regret on websites before, and have had people (unintentionally, more often than not) jarred by them. Nonetheless, I like to think I can look back and say, 'Hay, wish I had done that differently, I''m sorry I made that user feel that way'. Some ponies don't bother, it seems. So they don't change.

        2. @jimbo Sounds like a interesting conversation indeed.

          1. @mrdragon Ha ha, I know right? I was left boggling, so ... at least it wasn't boring. But everything he said was just so played-out, it was kind of sad. "You sound fat! Also, fat people can CHOOSE not to be fat, they're just lazy! But don't worry, lazy fat people make me pop a chubby!" or whatever. Sexism, sizeism, what is that?

Friday, 23-Sep-11 07:21:15 UTC from web
            1. @jimbo Oh dear lord.. That sounds like a conversation I would manage to get in.

              1. @mrdragon Well, the convo ended up getting so big the page froze up my browser, so everyone DID kind of get in.

                1. @jimbo Oh my.. Wish I had been there now XD

                  1. @mrdragon ... ewwwww!!! Why do I get gross vibes!? XD

    5. @jimbo That's annoying. Seems like an attempt to stop the crap by being 'non-interventionist', while not helping anything in the process.

Friday, 23-Sep-11 07:13:53 UTC from web
      1. @pawnheart That's how I felt, too. :I And I even said in one of my posts, "you can't bother to report it, because the mods think it's a non-issue." Thanks for proving my point, Soarin! XD You're right, drama IS worse than sexism! I've seen the light!

Friday, 23-Sep-11 07:23:29 UTC from web
        1. @jimbo I hate that... I've had it on previous sites I've been an active member on. Some mods are quite happy to cut comments and offer out bans... but they never want to take any direct rersponsibility for it.

Friday, 23-Sep-11 07:28:39 UTC from web
          1. @pawnheart Yeah, I've seen it happen. There's a discussion going on about "don't say that, it's offensive" and the mods just want to quiet it down, instead of saying if it's bad or not. :P Which I can understand, but - c'mon, guy.

    6. @jimbo Holy dole, in what conversation don't you feel victimized? There was a friendly conversation going on in there and you bust in cursing and insulting people, and somehow trying to play the victim too?!?

      1. @starlightbolt LOL BAWWWWW

    7. @jimbo What's the big deal? Who doesn't like compliments? I like when people compliment me :\

Friday, 23-Sep-11 07:39:34 UTC from StatusNet Desktop
    8. @jimbo I mean, I hope he realises how that might have upset you. It is possible he didn't mean it in a bad way, but still, he probably didn't realise how uncomfortable such a comment can make somepony.

Friday, 23-Sep-11 07:41:17 UTC from web
      1. @pawnheart It's impossible to please everyone, and there will always be someone hurt by something you say/do.

Friday, 23-Sep-11 07:42:17 UTC from StatusNet Desktop
      2. @pawnheart I hope so, too. I mean, he didn't respond with OMGGG YOU ARE AWFUL AND MEAN so I'm hoping he can at least take it somewhat into consideration, even when I said it in a very mean way. ^^; (Also, don't mind Starlightbolt, he was one of the dudes in here yesterday talking about fat people being lazy and whatever. He's basically a troll.)

Friday, 23-Sep-11 07:49:39 UTC from web
        1. @jimbo I'm not a he >.>

Friday, 23-Sep-11 07:50:24 UTC from StatusNet Desktop
          1. @starlightbolt Ah, apologies. Generally it's men who respond in the manner you did, so I made an incorrect assumption. I still hold that you are an offensive human being, however, and I hope you seek counseling.

Friday, 23-Sep-11 07:51:53 UTC from web
            1. @jimbo Eh no offense taken. I assume everyone online is a boy unless proven otherwise. I am a tomboy and I don't like boys romantically, so I usually just hang out with guys and judge women too. As for being offensive, I am a troll after all. My way of trolling is just different than Carcino's ;P

Friday, 23-Sep-11 07:59:29 UTC from StatusNet Desktop
              1. @starlightbolt Well, I would suggest you find better ways of trolling. The sad truth of the fact is, most people who espouse the same sort of beliefs as you are NOT actively trolls; they simply hold very, very bigoted beliefs. And at that point, it's not really trolling, it's just espousing hateful beliefs that aren't really offensive, just ... depressing, because so many people hold them as truths. To me, trolling is more outrageous - something like "well, you can CATCH the fat, by being close to fat people!!" or "Yes, I love fat people, Twilight Sparkle is fat!" or something. It is so ridiculous as to be unbelievable, and yet so outrageous as to be nothing but trolling. At least it is more amusing. Just my two cents.

Friday, 23-Sep-11 08:02:42 UTC from web
                1. @jimbo haha stuff like "well, you can CATCH the fat, by being close to fat people!!" is just so outrageous that it'll make everyone laugh, which is not the point of trolling. As for bigotry, I honestly feel that it is a problem for those who get offended by it more so than the people that say it. After all they are just words. If no one was offended by bigot remarks there would be no point to saying them ;D
