    2. @fallinwinter It has been a while! I was quietly mourning the loss of a good member! Welcome back!

      1. @ceruleanspark theres a (extremely well made) YouTube bid of that comic with some music from "UP"

        1. @purplephish20 That video horrifies me because it makes me recall the comic, Up's beginning, and the Futurama Fry's Dog episode all at the same time.

          1. @fallinwinter Never seen up.... And it hurts me that they completely ruined the whole emotional impact of frys dog in "benders big score" if you haven't seen it... #?

            1. @purplephish20 The beginning of up was honestly tear jerking especially since it kind of comes out of the blue at the beginning of the movie. I never really watched Futurama past the old episodes that they used to play on fox.

              1. @fallinwinter Well benders big score... Awsome in itself... Ruins the whole impact of frys dog

      2. @pawnheart Good, been busy with the big releases this past week. I wouldn't get too attached to the avatar. I dunno if I'm keeping it yet. I didn't put too much thought into it.

        1. @fallinwinter Ah! Which ones in particular? Btw, cutie mark explanation?

Sunday, 13-Nov-11 12:46:12 UTC from web
          1. @pawnheart Modern Warfare 3 (Which I'm actually surprised at for not completely sucking) and Skyrim. Well just going off of my username, I honestly have no clue. It's a snowflake and I have orangey fall color. Like I said it wasn't really thought out much. =P

            1. @fallinwinter Fair enough! I have no new-gen consoles... would like to give Sonic Generations a spin though

Sunday, 13-Nov-11 12:49:22 UTC from web
              1. @pawnheart Ah, Sonic Generations looks like a fun game and all the nostalgia. Mostly from the 3d sonic stuff, I was never good at old sonic.

Sunday, 13-Nov-11 12:51:46 UTC from web
                1. @fallinwinter I'm better at the old games, I think, than the 3D stuff. I kept failing hard at Sonic Heroes. Although, in my defence, the camera does try and kill you in some of the later stages.

            2. @fallinwinter People are overly critical of MW3. They're more willing to judge it on its heritage and activision's business practises than they are on the actual product.

              1. @ceruleanspark Quite. I honestly can only complain about the badly made multiplayer maps in this new one.

                1. @fallinwinter MW2's maps weren't spectacularly great either, if I'm honest. I had a lot of fun with it, but there were a lot of times I felt like games were a foregone conclusion based solely on control of some tiny fragment of the map.

Sunday, 13-Nov-11 12:54:29 UTC from web
                  1. @ceruleanspark At least in MW2 the maps were symmetrical in the way that you had a specified "half" of the map to each other for the most part. In MW3 most of the maps are small and circularly symmetrical which means that the spawns are all over the place and while it eliminates "camping" to a minimal extent, it adds into dying from all over the place.

                    1. @fallinwinter Are they at least better than Black Op's clustermurdock maps?

Sunday, 13-Nov-11 12:59:03 UTC from web
                      1. @ceruleanspark IMHO, no. At least in those maps you also had some sense of "run in this direction, kill enemies in front" instead of "run in this direction, get shot from left, right, and behind even though you spawned there." A lot of the maps are practically like somewhat larger versions of the "rust" map from MW2 with no designated sides.

                2. @fallinwinter Which, is something the battlefield franchise's non-deathmatch gameplay and HUGE papayas MAPS sidestep entirely.

                  1. @ceruleanspark This is exactly why I like BF:BC2. I have yet to get BF3 though I'll be waiting till my list of games start dying down.

            1. @ceruleanspark fallinwinter and I are at a place in our relationship where regarding each other's flanks is par for the course.
