    1. @macpony55 Yikes, what is it? Is that a lightbulb melting a metal detector?

      1. @redenchilada one of those moon thingies that lights up, my sister set it on top of a light with the battery case touching the bulb. She came and told me something smelled in her room and when I went in and said it smells like burning plastic she realized it was that. I kinda surprised the battery cases held, the heat melted all the labeling off and you can see one of the batteries even fell out

      1. @traptin85 Scary stuff, and we were already being affected by it, plastic fumes are deadly and my sisters room is currently filled with them

            1. @macpony55 batteries suck sometimes. I once had one of those cheapo controller unit things that plugs into the TV and had a bunch of crappy video games built in. Well it had a battery pack thing you put alkaline batteries in, but it also came with a DC plugin. I was a kid at the time so I had no idea that if both were in at the same time, it would make the batteries explode. battery acid dprayed out of the battery pack casing at the seams and almost got in my eyes. burned like hell.
