@macpony55 They say it's a controversial topic. If you think about it, an alicorn would be too expected, but then again, an OC is something that stays in fiction.

@macpony55 Maybe making an Alicorn is alright, but my friend is making an OC, and I don't know the right way to tell her that making her the eldest sister of the Royal Sisters, in charge of the stars at night, and is way better than anyone is a total Mary-Sue. Should I be blunt, or let her go on about her fantasy?

@swanflecks That's a hard one, I would say just tell her to think about how they would interact with other ponies, one could have a character like that but still be humble, sorta like Luna almost

@swanflecks that's hard to say, she was a very lovable character( in my opinion) so that may have contributed in a few too many 'cute' moments, but it was balanced with some sad, but yeah, you should just read it

@miloth Point being taken, if an Alicorn OC is pretty much looked down upon for a promising social status, what's a nice way to tell a friend that she needs to make her OC a normal pegasus or unicorn, even earth pony?

@thesinistergreydragon412 You don't necessarily put yourself above everypony else, that's all in how the creator uses the character, an earth pony can be set above everypony else if the creator portrays them that way\
