@purpletinker Tinker, I respect you and I'm grateful for all you've done, but I hope you recognize that the porn could risk the business relations with Hasbro and could cause bad press because it's an all ages con for a little girl cartoon. And those dudes are furryphobic goons.

@gluestick So not only am I expected to implement decisions I think are ridiculous (like banning porn because some people are terrified of drawings of genitalia), but I'm not even allowed to complain about it? Naah. Sorry. I'm not that much of a politician. I may implement a policy I think is ridiculous, but I'm going to SAY it's ridiculous.

@ponydude2143 I'll just never understand why some people get their knickers in a twist about depictions of sexuality. Even depictions of violence are harmless in and of themselves; it's ACTUAL violence that we need to worry about. Many of the same people who are the most virulently opposed to porn are the same people who are most virulently in favour of needless wars.

@abigpony If we followed the line of thought which claims that depictions of unwanted activities in literature and art lead to increased instances of said unwanted activities in the real world, we would have to ban most of the great works of literature-- most explicitly including the Bible, which depicts a great deal of killing.

@abigpony Odd thing; the societies that ban the most books tend to NOT be the most advanced ones. I'm sure they have their reasons, but I certainly don't have to agree with them.

@abigpony Clearly you believe that freedom of expression is something that needs to be hidden behind closed doors, like sex acts or the popping of pimples. You are entitled to that opinion.

@purpletinker He's talking about being harsh on the people who believe on a... sectorized policy, with adult content in a separated area. The whole matter could use some diplomacy, yes, so the ones who want some degree of censorship believe they got it, and rest assured they won. That way, they would forget the matter and bother someone else.

@purpletinker well, i'm not a great fan of these puplic porn myself, but i do not think my judgment is absolute, so i think should do what they want as long as it is not causing any bad to the others

@purpletinker That's not exactly was I meant... as in any problem due to different views on a point, at least I believe, and it has worked marvels for me, that ambigous talking is the best course of action, for anyone can understand what they want while not necesarily banning something nor lying.

@ponydude2143 I tried moving him to an entirely separate EVENT after the con closes, and I still had someone who I had previously thought was a really nice guy just leave in a huff.
