@mushi What happened exactly? Did you try to connect to the router and get an error?
Sunday, 25-Dec-11 03:13:39 UTC from StatusNet iPhone-
@yodelerty it says the wireless conection is disabled, wich is a lie since my sister is using the wireless

@mushi Hmm... I don't recall getting that error. Does your router have a MAC address filter?

@yodelerty by mac you mean not windows? well, whatever, i dont know. And my sister's computer and my mother's laptop didnt have this problem, so no one knows what to do

@mushi mac is an internet thing in this case, not really sure what it is or what it stands for but I have seen it when setting up connections

@mushi No, computers all have something called a MAC address, and some people set up their routers so that only registered MAC addresses can connect to them. If that's the case, even if you know the password to the Wi-Fi, you won't be able to connect until your laptop's MAC address has been registered in the router's security.

@yodelerty @macpony55 well, I tried, but it keeps saying "no availableconection". I think i will call someone to solve it personally

@mushi It's always a lot easier when somepony is actually there, some other choices while you wait could be a restart of either the computer or the modem or both, or you could just use an ethernet cable if you have it and see if that helps it recognize the network

@mushi Can you view the network you want to connect to?

@mushi Ok, click on the wireless icon in the tool bar, click open network and sharing center, click change adapter settings on left, find wireless network connection and right click, if it says enable as first choice then click it, if it is already enabled just hit disable and the right click again and re-enable
