So it seems that drinking after a blood donation isn't quite as big a problem as they would have you believe.
-
@scribus Assuming you don't drink too heavily, I imagine.

@yodelerty Yeah, I took it relatively moderately. Just a White Russian, glass or two of wine, couple beers from my cousins' brewery, several chocolate liqeur cherries, Kahlua in my coffee... Not so bad.
-
@scribus Yep, that sounds pretty mild. :D

@yodelerty It's not like Vegas drinking or anything.

@scribus You get dizzy if you lose enough blood, right? Probably not enough if it was just a donation.

@pinhooves I can feel it when I do something strenuous, like running or climbing a lot of stairs. What *really* made it rough was when I gave a double-unit of red cells, that was intense. :p

@scribus How much blood did you lose and then proceed to drink though? Just curious.

@leonkfox One pint of blood, then . . . like 5 drinks over several hours. Not really a whole lot, I'm kind of a big dude. :p
-
@scribus Ah, right :) Was just thinking they could mean a certain amount of drink to alcohol consumed ratio.

@leonkfox I'm pretty sure they play it excessively safe in the guidelines.
-
@scribus I guess they kind of have to though, to cover their backs etc. (So no one sues them for not warning them about potential dangers)

@leonkfox Yeah, that's about what I figure.
-
@scribus Would make sense to me, they need to do everything they can to cover their backs.
