        1. @yodelerty Aside from from spike talking to her in that newish episode, was cheerilee ever named onscreen? Or was that just the name hasbro had in the website? I've never noticed

          1. @purplephish You don't really need anymore than one mention in the show for it to be canon.

            1. @yodelerty Yes but this 1 mention was that new episode which name escapes me (grown up spike) and her name was established a freaking year ago

              1. @purplephish True, but only because she looked similar to a G3 pony, IIRC.

    2. @yodelerty 5/8 of the rocks on Pinkie Pie's farm are igneous. 2/9 of the remaining rocks are metamorphic. There are 48 more igneous rocks than sedimentary rocks. If there are only igneous, metamorphic, and sedimentary rocks on Pinkie Pie's farm, and she throws a party for each one, how many parties must Pinkie Pie throw?

      1. @thelastgherkin All of them.

      2. @thelastgherkin 124.

            1. @yodelerty @colfax @princesstwilight The correct answer was 144, providing all of the rocks have an individual and unique birthdate.

    3. @princesstwilight If 2/9 of 3/8 are metamorphic, that is 1/12 of the whole. This is equal to 8/96. The portion that is igneous is 60/96. This means the remaining (sedimentary) portion is 28/96. If there are 48 more igneous than sedimentary rocks, 48 = 32/96. Seeing as this is one third of the whole, the total amount of rocks is 48 x 3 = 144. Pinkie would have to throw 144 individual parties if each rock has an individual birthday.

      1. @thelastgherkin There's where I made my error: I did 2/9 x 5/8 instead of 3/8. Bleh, I'm too tired to do math.

        1. @yodelerty In theory, any answer less than 144 is correct. But you would have to have stated the assumption that there are ten sets of twins to answer with 124.

          1. @thelastgherkin Not necessarily twins. The rocks could have just been born on the same date, but be completely unrelated.
