I would like to state for the record that if the new episode does show up on Youtube, I will watch it but feel bad about not supporting the official release, which I would do if iTunes Canada had the episodes u.u

@yodelerty Which is why we need to figure out the right way to convince Hasbro and/or Apple to release the episodes internationally. Too many bronies dole and moan about it, but don't actually try any legitimate means to bring about the desired solution. I'm aiming to change that >3

@forestrain Problem with that is in the supply chain; retailers don't want full season sets because they don't think they'll sell, so Hasbro doesn't make them. Changing this would require a huge investment of time and effort, and is not even a certainty regardless. The more practical solution is to start with international iTunes availability, then (if sales prove successful) perhaps they could be convinced to provide the episodes through other means

@yodelerty frankly I think this is something that needs to be discussed with @sethisto , @purpletinker and maybe a couple other big names who might carry more influence than us. If either one of them were to start petitioning (or something), they could probably gather a lot more support more quickly than any other individuals

@tenmihara We just need to get a large amount of people to petition. If there was an EqD post about it, I'm sure enough people would email them to spark a change. After all, I see basically no downside to having the episodes on iTunes.

@yodelerty @redstreak And that's why we need to figure out a legitimate, constructive means of convincing them. @sethisto and @purpletinker , due to their influence, are in the best position to do so, and are both well versed in remaining civil, level headed and (above all else) convincing.

@redstreak I disagree; whether from bronies or the parents of younger fans of the show, the money comes from adults. As such, they would be in a better position to negotiate, convince or otherwise influence those at Hasbro

@yodelerty We don't neccessarily have to flood them with emails either; we just need a representative (such as @sethisto or @purpletinker) with a lot of support (and maybe some numbers) backing them

@thatonepony Being confident is one thing; I only dislike those who moan about not being able to pirate the episodes because of a sense of self-entitlement that grew from Hasbro not acting against it until recently. Now that Hasbro is taking down the illegal versions, I just want to see the legitimate ones become more readily available

@thatonepony What? I'm just saying that it would be a smart business move to put the episodes up on the Canadian iTunes store. Especially since the episodes are all being taken down so the only way Canadians will be able to watch episodes legally is 2 times a week, censored, in standard definition. Also, season 2 is still not out here.
