  1. I would like to state for the record that if the new episode does show up on Youtube, I will watch it but feel bad about not supporting the official release, which I would do if iTunes Canada had the episodes u.u

Saturday, 07-Jan-12 04:25:12 UTC from web
    1. @tenmihara Hub should make their own youtube account and upload all new episodes.

Saturday, 07-Jan-12 04:26:30 UTC from web
      1. @hugs I like this idea; but I would be more than happy to see the iTunes eps reach Canada and Europe

Saturday, 07-Jan-12 04:27:54 UTC from web
        1. @tenmihara That too.

Saturday, 07-Jan-12 04:28:27 UTC from web
    2. @tenmihara That's why I won't feel bad. If Hasbro wants my money, they should put the episodes in the Canadian iTunes store.

      1. @yodelerty I'm sure Hasbro wants my money, and I'm more than happy to give it to them, we're just at an impasse on making that exchange happen <.<

Saturday, 07-Jan-12 04:30:08 UTC from web
        1. @tenmihara That's exactly the problem I have. I'd like to support the show, but Hasbro is simply not letting me.

Saturday, 07-Jan-12 04:31:31 UTC from StatusNet iPhone
          1. @yodelerty Which is why we need to figure out the right way to convince Hasbro and/or Apple to release the episodes internationally. Too many bronies dole and moan about it, but don't actually try any legitimate means to bring about the desired solution. I'm aiming to change that >3

Saturday, 07-Jan-12 04:34:11 UTC from web
            1. @tenmihara Already sent them an email expressing interest in full season box DVD sets. ^.^

Saturday, 07-Jan-12 04:35:20 UTC from web
              1. @forestrain Or Blu-rays for HD goodness.

Saturday, 07-Jan-12 04:36:14 UTC from StatusNet iPhone
              2. @forestrain Problem with that is in the supply chain; retailers don't want full season sets because they don't think they'll sell, so Hasbro doesn't make them. Changing this would require a huge investment of time and effort, and is not even a certainty regardless. The more practical solution is to start with international iTunes availability, then (if sales prove successful) perhaps they could be convinced to provide the episodes through other means

Saturday, 07-Jan-12 04:38:46 UTC from web
            2. @tenmihara If I knew who it was who gets to decide if the episodes go on iTunes I'd send them an email.

Saturday, 07-Jan-12 04:38:48 UTC from StatusNet iPhone
              1. @yodelerty frankly I think this is something that needs to be discussed with @sethisto , @purpletinker and maybe a couple other big names who might carry more influence than us. If either one of them were to start petitioning (or something), they could probably gather a lot more support more quickly than any other individuals

Saturday, 07-Jan-12 04:40:44 UTC from web
                1. @tenmihara well then it would seem like we're giving them demands, im pretty sure hasbro executives see us in a weird light

Saturday, 07-Jan-12 04:43:24 UTC from web
                2. @tenmihara We just need to get a large amount of people to petition. If there was an EqD post about it, I'm sure enough people would email them to spark a change. After all, I see basically no downside to having the episodes on iTunes.

Saturday, 07-Jan-12 04:45:08 UTC from StatusNet iPhone
                  1. @yodelerty @redstreak And that's why we need to figure out a legitimate, constructive means of convincing them. @sethisto and @purpletinker , due to their influence, are in the best position to do so, and are both well versed in remaining civil, level headed and (above all else) convincing.

Saturday, 07-Jan-12 04:46:32 UTC from web
                    1. @tenmihara i dont know, i get the feeling that the executives wont listen to a couple of guys in their twenties who watch ponies in their spare time as much as they would listen to kids

Saturday, 07-Jan-12 04:50:54 UTC from web
                      1. @redstreak I disagree; whether from bronies or the parents of younger fans of the show, the money comes from adults. As such, they would be in a better position to negotiate, convince or otherwise influence those at Hasbro

Saturday, 07-Jan-12 04:53:23 UTC from web
                      2. @redstreak If they're smart, they'll listen to the people who have money.

Saturday, 07-Jan-12 04:53:24 UTC from StatusNet iPhone
                        1. @yodelerty @tenmihara true, money is one of the greatest influences today

Saturday, 07-Jan-12 04:55:04 UTC from web
                  2. @yodelerty We don't neccessarily have to flood them with emails either; we just need a representative (such as @sethisto or @purpletinker) with a lot of support (and maybe some numbers) backing them

Saturday, 07-Jan-12 04:49:29 UTC from web
                    1. @tenmihara But if they see that a lot of people want the episodes, they'll be more likely to listen. Seth and Tinker are good people to start with, though.

Saturday, 07-Jan-12 04:52:53 UTC from StatusNet iPhone
      2. @yodelerty well it is canada, most people dont really factor canada into world trading, or much else for that matter (no offense)

Saturday, 07-Jan-12 04:31:09 UTC from web
        1. @redstreak Which is hilarious, considering our economy is the most stable in the world right now. >.>

Saturday, 07-Jan-12 04:33:57 UTC from web
          1. @forestrain yes, you're the neighbor we should go to to borrow money, but mexico is where we should party

Saturday, 07-Jan-12 04:39:05 UTC from web
    3. @thatonepony we're not full of ourselves, we just know the amount of clout that we truly have

Saturday, 07-Jan-12 04:56:46 UTC from web
    4. @thatonepony Being confident is one thing; I only dislike those who moan about not being able to pirate the episodes because of a sense of self-entitlement that grew from Hasbro not acting against it until recently. Now that Hasbro is taking down the illegal versions, I just want to see the legitimate ones become more readily available

Saturday, 07-Jan-12 04:59:32 UTC from web
      1. @tenmihara I only worry about being able to have them on my hard drive till I can get them on DVD.

Saturday, 07-Jan-12 05:00:19 UTC from web
        1. @colfax I'm cool with DVDs too, just so long as I can figure out a way to get all the episodes (regardless or order or release style, since they're meant to be watchable in any order anyways)

Saturday, 07-Jan-12 05:02:09 UTC from web
    5. @thatonepony perhaps, but you cant deny that studio B has done us a few favors, take derpy for example, we created her entire fandom identity from a simple animation error, and lo and behold, she's been showing up in season two ever since

Saturday, 07-Jan-12 05:02:03 UTC from web
    6. @thatonepony What? I'm just saying that it would be a smart business move to put the episodes up on the Canadian iTunes store. Especially since the episodes are all being taken down so the only way Canadians will be able to watch episodes legally is 2 times a week, censored, in standard definition. Also, season 2 is still not out here.

Saturday, 07-Jan-12 05:03:16 UTC from StatusNet iPhone
      1. @yodelerty You're referring to Treehouse, yes?

Saturday, 07-Jan-12 05:05:39 UTC from web
        1. @tenmihara Yes. It really shouldn't be on that channel. It should at least be on YTV.

Saturday, 07-Jan-12 05:07:09 UTC from StatusNet iPhone
          1. @yodelerty I agree, but that's neither here nor there at the moment.

Saturday, 07-Jan-12 05:08:07 UTC from web
            1. @tenmihara I'm just kind of sad that the show is so neglected up here. Considering that it's made up here, it shouldn't be so ignored.

Saturday, 07-Jan-12 05:15:35 UTC from StatusNet iPhone
              1. @yodelerty let's talk about something else for a while; I think we've chewed up public long enough lol. Also, I need some positive energy to shake off the back to school blues <.<

    7. @thatonepony @yodelerty The thing is, we don't know for sure what constitutes to Hasbro a 'good business decision'. Which is why we have to make the attempt to convince them as such, which is why the support, representatives and numbers would all be a good place to start

Saturday, 07-Jan-12 05:06:49 UTC from web
    8. @thatonepony well then what do you consider her as, an accident? They put her in because they're telling us, "Hey, we appreciate your intrest in the show, we're listening to your suggestions."

Saturday, 07-Jan-12 05:07:18 UTC from web
      1. @thatonepony @redstreak has a point, whether or not you like Derpy Hooves canon status or not, she is proof that Studio B does pay attention to the bronies. They might also be able to help convince Hasbro as well lol

Saturday, 07-Jan-12 05:13:32 UTC from web
    9. @thatonepony okay, im not going to argue with you, that's not what we do, we embrace each others opinion with open mindedness, not skeptisism
