@shori I loved the insight we got into Granny Smith's backstory as well as that of Ponyville's, made her become more than just a Go to character for old lady gags and jokes, that's just my opinion though.

@leonkfox That's the thing with this show, small bits can be brilliant, even in a lukewarm episode. Case in point, I think Luna Eclipsed is the worst episode this season, but if I watch small snippets, I love it.

@shori I LOVED Luna Eclipse! The only two I didn't like/hated were May the Best Win and Mysterious Mare Do Well. (The latter was the one I personally hated.)

@leonkfox I didn't like the MMDW either, but loved MTBPW. Luna Eclipsed just didn't tick for me.

@shori I love Rainbow Dash, but she was far too much of a twat for my liking in MTBPW, and MMDW was either boring me, or annoying me when I found out Rainbow's friends didn't even TRY and talk to her to try and bring her down a notch, instead they just show her up outright. If they'd attempted to talk to her and THEN done that I wouldn't have minded as much. Plus, I didn't like how the place suddenly became a disaster zone when virtually nothing happens there in most of the other episodes. That was just me though, I guess.

@leonkfox Rainbow Dash was more insufferable in Luna Eclipsed, personally. Granted, her elitist attitude in MTBPW did annoy me, but not as much. TMMDW was just not as entertaining as MTBPW or many of the other episodes.

@shori I was able to look past that though, sure she did go a bit far with her pranks, but it was a prank appropriate night so...yeah, I was able to look past it somewhat, like I said.

@leonkfox All things aside, I think the fear prior to Season 2 starting isn't needed, I think the overall season has been great thus far, even with the niggles. Secret of my Excess is my personal favourite episode thus far.

@shori My favourites thus far have been Sisterhooves Social, Secret of my Excess and Heart's Warming Eve. I've loved/liked them all besides the two I mentioned earlier though. :)

@leonkfox Sisterhooves Social was adorable, but a bit boring halfway through for me. Hearth's Warming Eve was brilliant as it managed to try and tell a fairly unique 'christmas' story. In quotes, because there obviously isn't a Christmas in Equestria.

@shori I really appreciated how it didn't try and make out they celebrate Christmas in this fictional world, it just seems so odd that an Earth/Human tradition manages to make it into these worlds with seemingly/definitely no humans or little to no religion (which is the basis of these holidays, whether you embrace the religious side of them or not) so many cartoons do that and I'm glad FiM broke away from that mold.

@nerthos It's my least favourite episode of the season, but not overall. Those episodes would be Feeling Pinkie Keen and A Dog and Pony Show for me. I liked MMDW a lot more than those two personally.

@redenchilada Yeah, it did absolutely nothing for me, sorry ^^; (and no, not because of the implied pro religious message at the end, it was the sheer fact that Pinkie's ability to predict the future was never mentioned before the episode, or again until MMDW in Season 2, and the gag that went with it got old to me within its first two uses)
