@schicksal once there was a pony named Pony..
-
@pony Go on...
-
@pony Didn't help ;-;
-
@schicksal Pony had an extremely interesting and bizarre family, but they loved him very much. He grew up living in many different places in the Salt Lake City area in Utah...
-
@schicksal lol.. well.. I'm having a hard time putting it in terms of a story
-
@pony Utah?? How is it there? I thought it was made of Mormans! MORE.
-
@schicksal Even though the community where Pony grew up was very conservative and predominantly christian, his momma was pretty liberal and enjoyed living with filly friends, fillyfooling and the like..
-
@pony SHE WAS A LESBIAN. Yes? 20 questions! :D YAAAAAAAAAAY!
-
@schicksal Sometimes Pony's grandma took him to church, but usually momma pony took him to her Buddhist SGA meetings. Pony learned to love Buddhism
-
@pony I'm liking this story! Tell me more! This is excellent!
-
@schicksal It wasn't until Pony was almost 11 that he decided to become Mormon with his mothers support
-
@schicksal ;) happy to oblige it's fun so far
-
@schicksal Pony loved his father and Pony knew his father loved him, but it wasn't often they saw each other.. maybe a couple times a year.. When momma pony suddenly got into a custody battle over Pony's younger brother.. they had to move away and Pony didn't get to see papa pony at all
-
@schicksal it wasn't papa pony who wanted custody, it was momma pony's filly friend.. and because momma pony didn't trust her ex filly friend, and because the judge had ruled in the filly friend's favor, momma pony decided to move away so that she couldn't visit with him so often
-
@pony I'm confused but enjoying this :D
-
@schicksal I'd be happy to clarify.. ask me questions if you have any please
-
@pony Uhhhh... Can you make things English? :D
-
@schicksal as in no pony terms?
-
@pony Well not so much that as just make things less confusing somehow xD Also, if you have Steam this oculd become a less confusing exchange, but I'm fine here as well xD
-
@schicksal hmm.. I'm trying to keep it at a 3rd grade level.. maybe I'm leaving out too much? or maybe my wording is just off.. I'll see what I can do. Feel free to make specific suggestions
-
@pony I think more specific would help! The wording seems fine!
-
@schicksal So Pony slowly but eventually made new friends and sometimes called his old friends to talk, and Pony loved catching fireflies during the summer. There were no fireflies back in Utah.
-
@pony That's so adorable! :D How old were you at the time?
-
@schicksal (got it ;)) One of the things Pony missed most about Utah was the wide open blue skies and the beautiful white snow. He missed seeing the mountains surrounding the valley where he'd lived and he missed the karate dojo he'd had to leave behind.
-
@pony You're too interesting! D: BUT KEEP GOING! I don't need to sleep anymore :D
-
@schicksal But Maryland had fireflies and lots of green trees, and Pony liked the smell of the humid air, although it made his allergies act up more often.
-
@chipperlunaro your recent post about losing somepony
-
@schicksal :) Pony got to meet lots of new kinds of ponies from all over the world at school. Back in Utah there had only been white Mormon fillies and colts for the most part.. Pony made very good friends with a group of nerdy outcasts kind of like himself
-
@pony Yay, I can relate! :D So how'd that later turn out!
-
@chipperlunaro oh I saw that one too.. lemme go recheck it.. I didn't realize they were related
-
@schicksal Pony was happy and, while he missed his old home he eventually grew to love his new home even more. Over the course of his adolescence Pony tried to prepare himself to serve a mission for his church..
-
@chipperlunaro yeah that was really sweet!!
-
@schicksal Pony's conversion had effected him deeply and he wanted to share how he felt about it with other ponies like the missionaries had with him. Sometimes Pony was ignorant and made the mistakes all the overzealous make.. like arguing with momma pony about her relationships..
-
@pony Pony always loved his mother though, and even though he was sometimes abrasive, momma pony supported him fully, driving him to early morning seminary before school, even when they lived an hour away from school and work.. it wasn't easy, but it was rewarding
-
@pony Go on D:
-
@pony So when the time came and Pony had grown into a fine young stallion, he submitted his papers to serve a 2 year mission. Pony and his family were thrilled when he got his call to be a missionary in Southern Italy
-
@schicksal It had helped that Pony studied French for 7 years. With zeal and committed fervor, Pony learned the Italian language and became fluent in about 4 months (including 2 months of training in the U.S.)
-
@schicksal So Pony served 2 of the happiest years of his life! He had had to sacrifice a lot. He and his family had paid for his travel and living expenses and he wasn't allowed by mission rules to telephone home, only write. He missed his family and the extended family he'd grown close to in Maryland a lot.
-
@pony Being a full time missionary meant waking up early and keeping to schedule, but it also meant no swimming, no staying out late, keeping to budget, and never leaving your assigned companion alone (except obviously for bathroom breaks) for safety reasons.
-
@pony Pony made friends he'd never forget, and once his time had been sered he returned home a full rown stallion... Pony enrolled in his local community college and was introduced to a very special somepony who would soon become his wife by an old high school friend
-
@pony Pony didn't know what he wanted to do now that he'd finished his mission, so he studied a broad range of subjects and graduated with an Associate's degree in General Studies. Pony really enjoyed art
-
@pony And then?
-
@schicksal He felt it was important to be realistic and open with his father.. Pony crushed his father's heart by telling him he couldn't trust him.. Later on Pony's filly-friend told him that she'd been fooled with by her brother as a little filly, so this made it even more difficult to repair the bridge between Pony and his father..
-
@pony ... simply due to the fact that Pony's special somepony didn't trust men.. This was compounded when the truth came out about her own father fooling with her two sisters. She was hurt deeply to find out, although she'd never been fooled with by her father.
-
@pony :( Hopefully that got better?
-
@pony Pony and his father wrote to each other still, but only rarely. Pony found it difficult to write with the distractions of student life and dating, but Pony blamed himself for not reaching out more to his father.
-
@schicksal Life went on as it always does, and, after knowing Mrs. Pony-to-be for a year, she began to show interest in Pony. Ms. Pony chased him until her caught her.. so-to-speak, and after dating for 2 short months the two got engaged
-
@schicksal until he caught her*
-
@pony I need to go for the night! D: Bye for now!
-
@schicksal Their engagement lasted for about a year and the two were happily married in the beautiful Washington D.C. temple.
-
@schicksal okey doke.. Things get much better with my dad by the way
-
@pony Scratch that! I'm back to hear more!
-
@schicksal OK! picture time btw http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/7/75/Washington_DC_Temple.JPG
-
@schicksal Being Mormon herself, Mrs. Pony had been shocked by Pony's family and even Pony himself sometimes while they were dating, but she loved him and his family, especially her new mother-in-law.
-
@schicksal Meanwhile Pony's father had been alone and abused in prison. He deeply regretted that he couldn't be there for his son's wedding, and he was truly bitter about the testimony his ex-wife (not Pony's mother, but another mare) had given in court. He knew his incarceration was wrong and he resisted authority often which put him in isolation often
-
@schicksal Papa pony almost died in prison one very cold winter when he was placed in a cell where the outside air came in and hit him. Even despite his layers of clothing and blankets he had gotten very sick.. Once Papa pony was shanked by another prisoner, and many times he got into fights because of the crime he'd been accused of
-
@pony D: That's awful!
-
@pony That building is pretty! :D Yaaay!
-
@pony Papa pony suffered more than anything, from depression and the pain of being abandoned by all the ponies he'd known as family and friends. It's no wonder he was so crushed by Pony's letter to him when he said he didn't trust him.
-
@schicksal It was awfull :( and yep! :)
-
@schicksal Twice Pony visited Papa pony when Pony and his new wife moved back to Utah to attend BYU. but it was probably a poor consolation to Papa pony who, for 13 years had "rotted" in prison according his words. Soon though the end of his sentence came closer and plans were made for him to stay with Pony and Mrs. Pony while he got back on his feet
-
@pony Before that, however, Pony had been trying his hoof at art and animation. Pony /loved/ animation and BYU's college for animation was world renowned. Unfortunately for Pony, if was also very competitive
-
@pony for 3 years Pony invested countless hours into being accepted into the animation program at BYU... Pony failed after his first year and was shaken, but he didn't give up.. Pony wasn't as driven as his competitors, but he tried his very best to get in.. and in the end.. failed
-
@pony It was about this time that Pony lost nearly all sense of purpose in his life.. and Pony prayed and prayed to know what to do.. Eventually Pony found out he was good at helping other ponies with disabilities.
-
@pony This gave him new fire! He set out to take on the world, and, though Pony was bitter about the loss of 3 years' effort in school, Pony pressed on.. He was prctically forced to settle with being an Italian major, but he didn't mind it much.. Pony would always love the Italian people and culture, and BYU's language programs were also world-class.. Pony slo took Computer Science and Visual Arts as minors since they best matched what he'd studied up to that point..
-
@pony Pony's father finally got out of prison in 2010, and despite objections from his landlords, Pony gave his father a place to stay for a couple weeks while he searched for an apartment
-
@pony Pony and Mrs. Pony and Papa pony bonded a lot during that time..
-
@pony Papa pony was fun to be with and very happy to be out of prison. His life wasn't easy with the stigma that came with being an accused colt-cuddler out from prison, but he got established and was able to take care of medical needs he'd had to neglect in prison using money that Grandpa pony had left him
-
@pony Papa pony found old friends and even found a filly friend he'd known from foal-hood and always liked. Papa pony insisted that Pony talk to his half-brother and that they become friends, and, during the first 2 weeks that Papa pony was out of jail, he showed Pony and Mrs. Pony an original letter from his other son that proved that no abuse had happened between them.
-
@pony Pony was relieved and Mrs. Pony, while still un-trusting of stallions in general, believed Papa pony now to be innocent. For Pony, things had gotten better too because he found a job to help with the financial burden school had become since financial aid had stopped. Pony had been in school so long that he couldn't get any more government support unfortunately.
-
@schicksal anyway.. that's the most-part of my story.. there's more like my porn addiction and recovery that I could go into, but I figure you're tired.. you might even be gone
-
@pony athat was a veey interesting, and long winded, story :D thanks for habing shared!
-
@schicksal You're very welcome. Thanks for taking interest, even though I'm not exactly an expert story teller.
