  1. !coderpony So here's an actual attempt to tag something. Greetings everypony. I'm here to share my my fellow coding bronies out there. Anyone else come to despise web development after actually getting into it and finding out just how convoluted the rules for developing a dynamic webpage really are?

    1. @primesonic I actively prefer web development to "regular" development

      1. @ceruleanspark I'm a traditional coder at heart; What can I say? I practically grew up on all that is C. I've started to get the hang of web-dev thanks to ASP.NET. It's a good thing there are people who can make easy sense of it all, otherwise we wouldn't have such a robust internet experience now, would we. :)

        1. @primesonic Do you find ASP.net workable? It always felt kind of...off, to me, but I wonder if that's because I have a more web-ish background.

          1. @ceruleanspark !coderpony ASP.NET helps a lot for those with a more desktop oriented coding background. You still have to get into a lot of HTML and you can't get away with not knowing the basics steps of a page load, but the simple fact that it lets you do most of the heavy lifting server-side in friendly C# makes things easy to develop in. I've managed to put together websites with it even when I had practically no training or experience in developing anything for the web.

            1. @primesonic Wheras I'd need dedicated training to pick up ASP.net and work with it properly having only very very basic C# knowledge to fall back on. PHP, much maligned as it may be, on the other hoof, I work much better with.

              1. @ceruleanspark !coderpony Brohoof to all my coding bronies out there. No matter what your language, framework, or environment may be, we all have that one thing in common: - Knowing that awesome moment when the pretty lines of code finally do what we were hoping they would do in the first place.
