@supercammy Where are you lost exactly, if I may ask? What do you think the differences are?

@supercammy Looks like a pro-linux love in to me.
-
@supercammy Ah, okay. I know a friend who only uses it to compile stuff as well, but it's really grown to be a full-featured operating system. I use it as my home PC system instead of Windows :P Arch Linux with awesome as my Window Manager, just great :P The thing I love about Linux is that it can be any way you want it to be. Google around for GNOME, KDE, Unity, Enlightenment or awesome. Those are just a small amount of "window managers" and "desktop environments" which define how your system looks and works.

@omni Would anyone voluntarily subject themselves to Unity if it could possibly be avoided?
-
@ceruleanspark My dad uses Unity with great delight, and I believe it's pretty good for people that barely have any understanding of how a PC works, but for most users Unity isn't all that great.

@omni I mostly just use a terminal for everything. My window manager really just manages terminal windows.
-
@ceruleanspark what window manager do you use? Awesome?

@the20percent XFCE

@ceruleanspark How... What... I'm confused... I have XFCE running in Arch on my vbox. do you mainly just use it to use terminals? Because in that case, I'd recommend terminator program :/

@the20percent I mostly do my terminal work via SSH on another machine, but when I log in physically, I like to have a real desktop environment.

@the20percent You can't troll me because I am quite happy and secure in my purchase. You could only troll me if I in some way regretted it.

@ceruleanspark I can always troll people... I just chose not to troll you, as you're a good friend.
