  1. What's interesting about Lauren Faust is that after she basically took over Powerpuff Girls from her husband so he could start working on Foster's Home, she got death threats from several people because the quality of the series /supposedly/ went way down.

    1. @thewolverine really? thats a really stupid reason to send out a death threat... I love this show but if the quality went way down I would just stop watching it TV really isn't that important

      1. @extremedash Yeah really, and it's not like it was Lauren's fault either. She had no previous experience running a show before that.

    2. @thewolverine Oh people who send death threats over silly stuff. Without them, the world would be a boring place

    3. @thewolverine I plotted out user ratings from tv.com for each episode. It really does decline in the later seasons, but I think that's more of the case that they were sort of running low on new ideas. There were a few good episodes later on though (Silent Treatment is one of my favorites) http://ur1.ca/437cl

      1. @thewolverine Also: note that the very lowest-rated episode is still above the 6 mark and the linear-regression line barely goes below 8. So yes, quality did go down a bit but it'd be a tough case to say that it went "way" down, and even in the last episodes it was still a strong show.

        1. @starshine You mean the episode for the anniversary?

          1. @rainclop Huh? The lowest-rated episode is Sun Scream / City of Frownsville, average rating 6.2. "PPG Rule" isn't even in the spreadsheet because I consider it to be more of a DVD bonus feature than an episode. (I don't think it ever aired, did it?)

            1. @starshine Wasn't there a day when they played the fan favorites on Cartoon Network? I want to say it was an anniversary and it ended with a new episode.

            2. @starshine "The Powerpuff Girls Rule" did air once that I know of. I even watched it in the presence of my father, who still doesn't quite understand why I liked PPG so much.

        2. @starshine Yeah, people overexaggerated their hate of the later episodes then, and they still do.

    4. @thewolverine care to guess the death treats Dan Fausett, Kenny Thompkins, Curt Walstead, Andrew Austin and Clint Taylor got for writing "The Loonatics Unleashed" ? It just shows that fans exaggurate SOOOO much ( and hey, golden age looney tunes are way more famous than sugar, spice, and everything nice )
