@problemedpony this looks like a job for philosophy brony...using reason, since celestia has the power to control the sun and sends people to the moon, then luna would most likely banish people to the sun....all hail celestia

@thephilosophicalbrony It's more of a problem for physics pony. Celestia sent Luna to the moon because it was the closest place she could put her where she couldn't harm anyone, but wouldn't die, or fall back to equestria.

@ceruleanspark And lets not forget that in all likelihood, physics don't work the same over there. Stars might just be nearby dots, the sun an orb that needs to be moved around the world by magic, and the moon may have a livable atmosphere and sustainable agriculture. Pony physics, go figure.

@primesonic Twilight has a globe and practises astronomy, and they have meteors, so that suggests that space is a thing.

@primesonic My point wasn't about physics anyway. It was about the assinine assumption that Celestia can ONLY banish someone to the moon, and didn't just choose to send Luna there.
