  1. Just saw the new Trixie. Apparently her last name is "Lulamoon" .... LULAMOON? *le nerd rage*

    1. @ovation it could be her middle name! In my personal canon she's named after her mother.

      1. @dezzierose Do ponies even *have* last names? I always thought their names were just two words. (Eg. Rainbow Dash, Twilight Sparkle, etc.)

        1. @ovation How would that explain Fluttershy and Applejack then?

Tuesday, 13-Mar-12 00:40:48 UTC from web
          1. @macpony55 They're one word. (Although Applejack is questionable because her family IS "The Apple Family"

        2. @ovation well sometimes they call rainbow dash just rainbow, and pinkie pie just pinkie, the fanon names for her sisters end in pie, it's not like they don't say it like that.

          1. @zimzap True, but I call my friends by shorter names all the time. Why say "Elizabeth" when you can just say "Liz"? IMO, it's the same thing.

Tuesday, 13-Mar-12 00:42:46 UTC from web
            1. @ovation what i mean is while pinkie pie is her full name, pinkkie is more common, and Liz is in the middle of a word,so I don't really think that counts.

              1. @zimzap But it's still a shortened version of her name. It's just used for simplicity.

                1. @ovation you know, I could call you bryce percifiled, but why would I do that? I'd just call you bryce.

                  1. @zimzap You'd be the only one. even my teachers call me Gospel. XD

                    1. @ovation I don't get it.

                      1. @zimzap My non-pony handle is "Lifegospel", and I've used it so long that everyone including my teachers uses it to refer to me. Nobody's called me Bryce in a few months.

                        1. @ovation Handle?

        3. @ovation Some have inferred that because of the Pies, the Cakes, and the Apples (except Granny Smith who may have married into the family)

          1. @pony maybe her orignal name was applesmith?

Tuesday, 13-Mar-12 00:42:33 UTC from web
            1. @zimzap I like to think she was just plain old Annie Smith when she was younger. Apple Smith would work as well

Tuesday, 13-Mar-12 00:43:54 UTC from web
              1. @pony I think it sounds better as one word, like applejack

Tuesday, 13-Mar-12 00:44:38 UTC from web
                1. @zimzap It does seem catchy. :) So is it officially Applebloom or Apple Bloom?

Tuesday, 13-Mar-12 00:47:12 UTC from web
                  1. @pony I _think_ they call her Apple Bloom. I much prefer Applebloom, though.

            2. @zimzap I call her younger self Little Abigail Smith which is an extremely redundant name due to the fact that in Irish, Abigail means "Little Smith". @ovation They probably have last names that are never mentioned. Sometimes they could use both their first and middle name as their full name. Pinkie Pie is different, because she prefers her full name instead of Pinkie Diane.

              1. @dezzierose Ooh, how about Pinkie Di as her real shortened name?

Tuesday, 13-Mar-12 00:45:16 UTC from web
          2. @pony strike the Pies.. that is just fanon after all.

            1. @pony Isn't Inky Pie an official name?

              1. @minti I thought so but I need to go back and watch the ep to make sure..

          3. @pony Ehh, I guess you're right. I still refuse to acknowledge any surnames until proven otherwise.

Tuesday, 13-Mar-12 00:43:45 UTC from web
            1. @ovation I like to think it just depends on any given pony's family tradition.

Tuesday, 13-Mar-12 00:45:48 UTC from web
              1. @pony Meh, probably. Or the writers are too lazy to come up with first and last names for AAAAALL the characters. I just prefer to think of them as having only one name. It's edgy and cool. Kind of like Madonna.

    2. @ovation I actually think that's a cute last name! :D I know it'll probably really bother a lot of her fans who've come up with different ideas though.
