  1. Sigh... I'm not saying or wanting anyone to stop talking about what they want to talk about, free speech and all that, but I would like to voice that all this religion talk is a little bit... How do I put it without sounding bad... in the wrong place? (Dang English, why don't you have nicer, more correct words?) But seriously, we're at RDN, where ponies abound. Religion really aint pony related that much...

    1. @techdisk42 I apologize. But I felt the need to voice my opinion. I hate religious arguments because no one wins. :/

      1. @yodelerty it's fine, I'm also just voicing my own opinion about all this. ^_^

    2. @techdisk42 Really? So you DON'T believe that Equestria is merely run by an ingrained set of morals set forth by deities created merely to signify their union into a single form from their split path? You actually believe that Celestia and Luna aren't god-princesses created for the ponies to explain that which they cannot explain for themselves and Twilight is really a missinoary on a mission sending "letters to god" as she strays farther and farther from her religious basis/?

      1. @policeman well, now that's a different story, now aint it? I'm talking about human religions not really being pony related. Celestia and Luna are about as pony related you can get!

        1. @techdisk42 But it really is an exact replica of older religions, which can be linked to the MLP-verse through the outdated technology. Chariots and stuff in the first episode, but as Twilight comes out of her religious shell, we start seeing things like automobiles (signifying that religion has held back their technological advancement?) It's obviously representative of human advancement as straying from religious dependence and moving into technological explanation.

    4. On the subject of the "right place for talking about Chrisitanity, etc.", let me challenge your thinking. Why isn't this the right place? Why wouldn't you want to talk about it? I really encourage people to look at their reasoning behind the hesitancy to talk about this subject. I really need to sleep now. ._. I really enjoyed the conversations and would love anyone who has lingering questions to PM me them. I'd love to talk more about this. Good night everyone! ^^

        1. @nerthos Nerthos, I hope I haven't disrespected you or anything. :) Your questions were legitimate, and I'm sorry I didn't answer 'em all :D

      2. @silverbrony The reasoning is it is impossible to argue beyond opinions, which will forever and always be different, thus all we end up doing it angering people. That's why it's not always good to talk about it here, especially when people come here expecting ponies and get forced into a religious conversation. That is my only problem with religion, that it is so forced. Anyways, night!
