  1. Seriously if they do make a MLP:FiM game I want it to be like classic Konami beat'em ups! Like The Simpsons, X-Men, and the TMNT arcade games all mixed up in one!

    1. @rainclop Yeah, or kind of an RPG would be cool. I love RPGs, they're my favorite game genre. Also, there's a spider under my bed and I don't wanna go to sleep. I don't want it to crawl on my tonight. :(

      1. @flaxx An RPG would be okay I guess. But a beat'em up would be so awesome, but if I made one by my lonesome it would probably be a sidescroller in the the vain of the NES.

        1. @rainclop Yeah, all of those would be cool. But I can't really see how I'd be able to play as Fluttershy in a beat'em up. :/ But a sidescrolling game would be cool.

          1. @flaxx She has the longest range, and her bird friends attack. Don't doubt that I put the majority of the day into this idea.

            1. @rainclop True. But still. Can't really imagine Fluttershy actually fighting someone. Even if her birds or rabbits do most of the fighting. @retl You have a point there. But I guess someone could come up with something. I'm just saying that if they did make a game, I'd want it to be some kind of RPG.

              1. @flaxx Okay we are going with mid-90 arcade logic? Can you see Marge Simpson fighting crowds of people with a vacuum, no! But the game is still awesome.

                1. @rainclop To be honest, I have no idea what you're talking about.

                2. @rainclop Fun fact: I beat that game once. Only arcade game I ever saw the ending to.

        2. @rainclop I actually had an idea for a side scroller beat em up a while back, with descriptions and stuff. wanna see if i can find it

        3. @rainclop Or a Morrowind/Oblivion style RPG. That's pretty much what I wish for. Can't get enough of those games.

          1. @flaxx Not a real RPGer. But I guess it could work... I haven't played those games so I don't know.

            1. @rainclop RPGs are pretty much the only games I play nowadays. I gave up MMOs a while back, but I haven't though about it much, so I dunno if an MLP MMO would be a good or a bad idea.

              1. @flaxx It could be epic if they took a route like a modified Animal Crossing. The problem is that it isn't very likely to survive, because of the way audiences take to MMORPGs, and the way MMORPGs scale when they are successful.

                1. @retl Pony Crossing! OMG

                  1. @starshine It really fits Equestria's sentiment. Which is why I was kinda thrilled when I first started the Adventures in Ponyville game on HUBWorld before I realized it was basically a set of three minigames structured for ETERNAL GRINDING. It could have been much more, even the exact same visual assets it already has.

                2. @retl Never played Animal Crossing. But I see what you mean about MMOs. One of the reasons I don't really think it'd be such a great idea. The world would just get crowded and stuff. That would suck.

Wednesday, 11-May-11 23:10:17 UTC from web
                  1. @flaxx Even if care is taken to avoid crowding, it's just not a safe game development investment. Not commercially, and not as fan projects. The best counter to this I can think of are text-based games, but they're somewhat niche these days.

                    1. @retl Hey, what're you saying about !eqdawn? lol

Wednesday, 11-May-11 23:17:22 UTC from web
                      1. @scribus I'm saying that !eqdawn is epic and probably won't die as a result of scaling issues from popularity. (And the undertone that it won't get flooded by like 100+ players every day is intentional too. No offense meant by that, but I can only think of three MU*s I've ever seen with +50 characters on at all times, and they're commercially funded affairs... (except the fetishy MU*.) ) I like to think that it'll always be around, though. X3

                        1. @retl Heh No offense taken. Sometimes it's good to be... less popular. ;p
