@macpony55 i had a feeling the computer wasn't seeing the arduino for some reason when i saw the "not in sync: resp=0x30" part; sync is usually a term for uploading/downloading information from a device, and respond "resp" is, well, respond. you can usually bet its a connection issue if the word respond appears. wow, i really start to gush tech talk when i get going. I need sleep...

@macpony55 And I like giving it! I just have a knack for logically figuring out stuff, and in computers, where literally everything is logic based, it makes me at least partially knowledgeable in things i have no idea about, such as the arduino, which i still have no idea how to code to turn on an LED. :D

@techdisk42 well, they are amazing for the simpler things, but its a pain for most other stuff(i.e. gaming). Video editing is very smooth

@getacutiemark My laptop came with Vegas Movie Studio HD Platinum 10 *gasp* for free (or included in the price, no clue) I like it, i haven't really used it to its full potential, but its working pretty well!
