@ceruleanspark Hm... assuming you mean Equestria rather than the entirely world in which it exists, yes. Equestria seems pretty well off, but there certainly seems to be a lot of nastiness lurking beyond its boundaries (#spoiler: fhpu nf jurerire gur punatryvatf pnzr sebz).

@ceruleanspark Right, so given the mane 6 are not (as far as we know) immortal, the point will inevitably come that the elements must change hands again. Not within the series, sure, but within the greater continuity, it's pretty much a given.

@ceruleanspark Given the apparent tendency to solve any significantly large threat with an application of the elements, the first part seems unlikely. The second part could work, I guess.

@bitshift They could put it on the moon, or inside the earths core. (Though I suppose we don't want to run the risk of Discord turning the earths core to chocolate out of spite)

@ceruleanspark Given Discord is a straight-up reality warper, I'm pretty sure nothing short of destruction would actually prevent him returning sooner or later. As far as we've seen, nothing of that sort has happened.

@ceruleanspark The main saving grace is that he's not, overall, especially malevolent. He's more of a trickster than an evil force, even if he did end up as the antagonist in the one instance we've seen.
