              1. @sleepingautumn gonna be a total newfoal and ask wth is with the # thing? Is it the equivalent of *action* in tweeternese?

Thursday, 19-May-11 14:59:30 UTC from web
                1. @psychostreak it's ok, we're all new sometimes. The # is for a hashtag, Twitter style microblogs like rd.net use them for searchs, like tags on a web page or image. Some people use them sometimes as actions, or as parts of actions. Most use the **s for actiony stuff

                  1. @sleepingautumn and maybe I should have tagged that with something like #

          1. @psychostreak I wish, Internet connection here at school blocks out just about everything, I'm thankful RDN isn't blocked due to being a blogging site.

            1. @ickus tried the filter trick? For any filtered site where I am (ontario high school) you can bypass it with a simple trick of popping in an s after the http. Example: http://www.hotmail.com is blocked, https://www.hotmail.com isn't

              1. @psychostreak Tried, apparently either the server or my Itouch can't read https:// correctly because everytime I enter http:// or https:// it gives me a server cannot respond error.

                1. @ickus funky.... tried putting in sites with no www? Worked for my cruddy school's filter back in north bay

            2. @ickus yeah. We just recently switched over to this "Lightspeed Systems" that gives the stupidest reasons for blocking stuff. It blocks xkcd.com for "adult.games" and USED to block Wikipedia for "forum.blog", but my entire AP Comp Sci class (teacher included) made a petition to the school board to get that changed.
